Redguard Assassin, every time. Adrenaline Rush is a life saver in those moments while you are still honing your craft and get detected, giving you better odds whether you go for "fight" OR "flight".

Dunmer Berzerker. I always play the sneaky thief/assassin type. The first time around I'll go for the Dunmer wearing light armor wielding the biggest damn sword/ax/hammer I can get my hands on. I'm reminded of the Conan movies (the older ones, not the new one) where Conan wore very little to no armor and tore guys apart just by being a better fighter.

The closest to my playstyle is an Argonian assassin master of sneak, bow, daggers, alchemy, illusion and a little restoration just in case.

Favorite Race? Nord. Don't know why. Favorite Class? Crusader. It's like a Paladin, but instead of shield spells they have destruction + healing of course.

I thought a Crusader was blunt weapons, heavy armour and healing magic. Just like the knights of the nine DLC where you play a crusader.....

Enough, children.

What would be the "proper" name for a class with the following abilities?

2h weapons (battleaxe)
Heavy armour
Block
Smithing
Destruction
Enchanting
Restoration
1h weapons (war axe) - for casting + melee at the same time

Battlemage doesn't quite seem to fit - I always thought battlemages were more on the mage side of the combat/magic divide. Likewise spellsword doesn't quite fit, because spellsword always struck me as being light armour users.

EDIT: Forgot to add, this is the "class" I'm using first - he's the Nord "battlemage" I named as my first character on the 1st page of this thread.

I enjoy playing an Argonian Warrior the most. Heavy armor, shield, and sword - almost like a knight, but without the "Prince Charming" looks and speech/charming skills.

And why Argonian? http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1230082-favorite-race-class/page__view__findpost__p__18578316
In a fantasy setting they're more interesting than humans and humans with pointy ears. And I've always liked dinosaurs, lizards and reptiles. :turtle:

Light armor and magic. slightly more combat focused. I like my spell proficiency to be high.

I think Spellswords are light-armoured and use blades, with generally non-direct-damage magics like Enchanting and Conjuration. Battlemages are all about attack and defence, no buffs - Heavy Armour, Destruction magic, no restriction on weapon.

That's my interpretation anyway.

Khajiit assassin, the perfect combination.

Spellsword class in Oblivion has Heavy Armor but not Conjuration as major skill. In Morrowind they had Medium Armor instead. Both have Destruction as major skill. Personally i play the class as a tank that uses magic to improve defense and offense.

Oh, fair enough...

See, it's the definition of a battlemage for me! I guess this shows how little class names mean, seeing as everyone has different ideas for how to name a certain playstyle. That's why I loved being able to name your "class" in Oblivion - if the name sounded right for me then that's what I'd call it.
