Personally i'm a massive fan of the Argonian, and i'm mainly a Wizard. I like to light a whole dungeon up with a Meteor spell but i also like the Conjuration tree, just because having a companion is cool :foodndrink:

Argonian Assassin type.

And I really hate /thread comments. Especially when they follow less-than-stellar sentences.

you didn't put Spellblade/Spellsword up there, so i voted other. I will be a Dunmer Spellsword with Swords, Daggers, lots of Magic, and Low Tier Heavy and/or High Tier Light armor.

They are the same as Oblivion apart from a few tweaks as some skills and the attributes have been changed / removed

Where did you see actual confirmation of what the traits for races will be? Just saying they will be the same doesn't make it so. I will also be looking forward to seeing some concrete info in that area.

Fan interview at the top of the Skyrim Forum, Quoted from Todd Howard

''They each start with some skills that are higher by default, but those aren’t hard to overcome with another race in a short time. They also have different starting spells and each has its own passive abilities, like before, as well as powers, like before. So Khajiit can see in the dark, Orcs have a berserk power, Redguards have Adrenaline Rush, and so forth. They work differently in the new system, but the flavor is the same.''

My favored class combines stealth, dual-wielding blades, and utility magic (usually from alteration and illusion).

A sort of Spellthief class.

So they work differently. So you really don't know how each power will manifest in this game. That was my point. Some people will want to know the specifics before hopping on board with whatever race. When you find something outlining how each power works, then we can more easily determine that we want to use a certain race. Personally, I would prefer to use one that is passive as opposed to active. Having a "spell" I can only use once a day kind of irks me, so I would prefer to have something that just... works. So mine is a little easier to cater to, as some powers are likely to still stay passive, no matter the changes to them gameplay wise.

Khajiit Assassin/Thief

I don't usually play my characters in a single specific way, though, to be honest. I just do what I feel like. xD

Imperial Archer. With short sword and bow i will rain arrows down on my foes and finsh off whats left with sword when they get close. My first guy in oblivion was a nord so i'm going with Imperial first this time. I've always been an bow man in games it feels more of a leaders role imo. Commanding from a far and supporting your fighters. I hope i don't shoot them in the back so much this time around, ha ha. I will have to see how it turns out. I always plan on sticking with a class, but i always end up using and doing everything.

Breton Summoner

In Oblivion it used to be Conjuration + Destruction with a blade for def, but now it will be Conjuration then dualwielded destruction :D

Argonian Warrior/Berserker (Light armour, Dual wield with magic or archery for ranged engagement).

As for why? Well there are probably hundreds of RPG games that give you the typical elves and humans as PC choices, but very few that go much beyond that. Sure some'll have dwarfs/halfling and Orcs (D&D comes to mind) but very rarely do you find ones that include the, in my opinion, the far more exotic 'beast' races as playable options. And after playing games (in general) where the PC is almost always human (FPS's mainly) or even some RPGs like Mass Effect and DA2, the human choice looks more than a little tired and boring. As for elves well they're basically humans with pointy ears - but don't tell them I said that. Orcs are a possibility but I'd rather my character not look like he's fallen out the ugly tree and hit every branch one the way down.

So then in comes down to Argonians and Khajiit which is really no choice at all; a sleek, tall - and not unpleasant looking reptile or a walking furball.

And besides, Argonians are cool B)

Bosmer, for delicious cannibalism.
And I'm more of a stealthy bow/dagger + magic kinda girl.
