Aww. I'm sorry you're the only Imperial. My elf feels sorry for them too. Like the other poor round ears and tail draggers, Imperials have such short little life spans. Poor things only live 5 to 10 ten decades or so. :(

Here. I hope this makes you feel better - :cookie:

Wood Elf - I *tend* to play things I'm not in real life when I play games. Since I'm human every day (Sometimes up for debate ;)). I usually pick elf.

Redguard

Natural warrior and a resistance to most(if not all) poisons.

...although I usually make my Redguard a black sheep and make him based more around stealth then straight up front, face to face tactics

Dunmer, lore wise and in-game.

Although saying that, I don't often play Dunmer in Oblivion for some reason.

Children of the Hist! Hoorrah!

Yup, Argonians are my favourite with Nords, Khajiit and Bretons coming at a triple second place. I'm not a fan of Elves or Redguards though, sorry guys.

I see myself close to a Breton, ya know? Not very able to slug someone into a coma, but able to outsmart them. Either that, or run like hell.

There was a time when it was Imperials in fact for the past 4 years I have played TES it was Imperials with Nords as a second, Bretons as a third and Argonians fourth but I've come to realize that I prefer Bretons and all my characters lately have been Bretons regardless of spec. Although they are still practically imperials, I give them imperial names as is the trend of many Cyrodiilic Bretons. (Istirus Brolus and Ancus Afranius as examples)

I love me some lizard folk (figuratively of course...)

One day the people of the hist will rise up and set themselves free from the oppressions of the empire.

Vivre la argonia!

The Redguards have been the best I've played out of the races. They just get under your nails.

Just want to know everyones favorite race. If you would like to post why after voting then feel free. I would prefer you did.

If I am building a combat inclined bad [censored] with magic abilities, I tend to lean towards a Nord, born under the apprentice with intelligence and willpower as favored attributes. They come chalked full of combat abilities as it is. Way way late, they of course do not pack the IQ of some of the elven races, but they have more than enough Magicka to pull off some high end spells. Other alternative would be Orc for their elemental resistance.

If I am feeling like getting belted around, I'll commit a lil suicide trying to do the same with a High Elf, apprentice, int/will. YES, someone flicks a match and bye-bye Elf. But once you get your Mysticism up and can cast/enchant some reflection, oh boy is it fun to create some wicked wicked spells.

I have to go with Bosmer; Argonians are a close second.

I thought I liked Nords best....but to my surprise, The Bosmer took over...way back in Morrowind even. In fact, I finally finished MW/tribunal/Bloodmoon with a wood elf character.

You'll find that we can achieve plenty in our life-spans Bosmer. Why, simply look at our rich history.

Other races are more fun, to be sure. With Nords it comes down to careful consideration in the build. They can be extremely balanced or extremely lopsided. I usually build mine around a warrior mage scheme.

I had a run with Argonians that was pretty fun. But the race bonuses were a little weak. Alteration and restoration takes care of what you might lose by not being an Argonian, and you get to build those skills.

Oh. Um, er, gee. Well, maybe you have a point there. I guess to say Imperials rule is, in fact, a literal statement. :)

The air grows cold as an army of mighty Nords begins to chop the trees down.

Just wondering... In this day and age when everyone is so sensitive. Isn′t this question a bit racist...?

LOL, probably. But, then again, Racism runs throughout Morrowind and Elder Scrolls.

I guess to be fair, one would have to say: "I hate elves, but they're better than round ears or tail draggers." :lmao:

That's one of the many things I find so beautiful about TES. They have several races, atleast one person in each is unforgivably racist, and there's simply so much bashing going on, that if it were real races, this game would be banned. But that's the thing, none of these races are real, so everyone is free to be as racist as they wish. :P

It's not like you're gonna offend anyone, there aren't any Argonians or Orcs walking around in real life, reading these forums, and filing a complaint. No harm done. :)

Those who do not read history are doomed to repeat it: http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1117062-favorite-race/

And I can never pick a favourite between Argonians and Bretons, with Altmer coming in just behind them.
