I play as the race native to that province on my first character. Then it depends on what type of character I make.

I usually play Dark Elves. I try to play other races, but something about the Dunmer always draws me back to them. I love Argonians too, though.

Imperial. I always try to go Argonian or Dark Elf, but those playthroughs never usually last long.

I usually play whatever the "local" race for the game in question is: Dunmer in Morrowind, Imperial in Oblivion, and soon a Nord in Skyrim. If I don't have that as a guide to lead me around, though, I tend to default to Breton, so I guess them.

Nords. Why? well they just sort of feels more familiar. I know it's a RPG but i like to play as a character which resemble myself and i am North European.

But ofcause, sometimes, it's fun to play something different from yourself. In those cases i usually go for Khajiits. But at some point i have played as most of the races. I think Redguards and Orcs is the only ones i have never bothered to even try. Not sure about Bosmers, i might have done that in my younger days as a TES fan. Ofcause i know better now. :biggrin:

I like to play as a Breton because they are skilled with magic and also have a good resistance to magic.

I usually play Bretons. They tend to go well with my play style. Of course, right now I'm playing a race of my own creation, though.

I agree. I think it's because Dark Elves have the best mix of all the combat styles (based on skills).

I always play Khajiit. I'm really hoping they make them look cool too.

Furrier looking, as it would make sense with the climate, maybe with more dynamic fur would be great.

I favor Altmer because of their vast magic reserves, I then like Bretons and the Dunmer. I like to build my characters around a user of magic generally...
