Yeah... the Dwemer are basically the anti-elf elves. While they did use magic (tonal magic, that is), it definitely isn't the kind fantasy elves are stereotyped as being fond of.

Bosmer are closer to being the exact stereotype of elves.

I like the dark elves mainly because of their story. They have, in my opinion, the best "creation" story of all the races.

I didn't mean humble, but rather that they don't really care an they are DEFINITELY more hardy than the nords (despite what the skyrim load screens say).

As far as we know, Dunmer (mostly House Telvanni) were the only race to use slaves as long as they did. Tiber Septim actually tried to stamp out slavery in general, but failed with the Dunmer.

Not ALL of them, only some of them, and it was the Dwemer, not the Aldmer (precursor to all elven races) (I THINK) who did that. Could be wrong though.

My apologies, I worded that poorly. I was regarding only the Snow elves when I was stating the exact stereotype of elves. Although I cannot share your adoration for the Dwemer, due to their woefully corrupt moral system. I can however agree on their impressive intellect and innovation, a truly brilliant people.

There are alwaays exceptions. But yeah, the dwemer were just cocky SOBs who wanted to control everything.

I believe that was the Snow elves... And the Dwemer obviously had slaves aside from Dunmer. And I can most definitely agree on your perception of Dwemer

No, the Night of Tears was when the altmer attacked the nords because they were repopulating to quickly. The falmer just hate everyone.

Argonian, although Dunmer come in at a close second. I really like Morrowind and Dunmer culture, as well as their natural abilities. I especially like their armor. Bonemold and Chitin just look so awesome. However, I really like the appearance and personality of Argonians. (Cool, calm, intelligent, and slow to trust, but fiercely loyal to their companions.)

What Argonians really need though is native armor that forms to their heads. I think that would look so brilliant.

Altmer were never anywhere NEAR Skyrim, They were isolationists for most of the first 2 era's and before.
