I didn't like much rap until I heard Lil' Waynes 30 minute freestyle. Now I'm a huge rap/R&B fan.

Lil' Wayne
Drake
Eminem(OLD EMINEM!)
....Mostly the big names, I guess.

Lil' Wayne
Drake
Eminem(OLD EMINEM!) AND VERY NEW EMINEM
....Mostly the big names, I guess.

Fixed :)
Also, Drake was amazing in I'm Goin' In, good in Best I Ever Had and Forever, but now he is just mainstream trash. Find Your Love? Come on Drake that's crap

I must agree with the Drake part! Is it just me or does Drake and Wayne sound almost identical?

And about the new Eminem stuff- I haven't heard much of it, but what I have heard is him whining about going clean. I'd rather hear about what he wants to do to boy/girl bands and his ex.

New favorite song.......Jay-Z- Numb Encore

Yeah that's actually a really really great song. That's the only LP album I don't have. I'll have to think about buying it.

I feared who would end up doing this. Its okay on your first album to be all about how you made it and your new life style. Two cd's worth is just a joke.Although there are a couple good songs on his new album.

Is it just me or does Drake and Wayne sound almost identical?

Just you

It's weird, but I didn't hear it on the internet. It was a mixtape that found it's way into my town. I'll keep looking and tell you if I find it though!

Meh, Numb/Encore is the only genuinely good song on the album.

I'd like to take this time to tell you guys about an amazing mixtape of Lil Waynes I recently got. http://i7.tinypic.com/6pslowy.jpg
It's basically a entire album of him doing R&B songs, no really fast hard core rap songs, just slow, meaningful soul tracks. It's seriously one of the best I've heard. Not to mention I've found what might be one of my top 5 weezy songs ever, Smokin' Section. They are all great songs, but Smokin' Section and You ft. Lloyd are two amazing ones.
Here is the track list:
1. Gimme What Ya' Got ft. Chris Brown
2. Champagne & Chronic ft. Solanges Knowles
3. What you Trippin' ft. Danity Kane
4. Comfortable ft. Babyface
5. Always Be Your Man ft. Israel
6. Some Say
7. Ask Dem Hoes
8. Whatever You Like ft. Nicole Scherzinger
9. Like No One Else ft. Britney Spears
10. Smokin' Section ft. Julianny
11. Opposites Attract ft. Wyclef
12. Sweeteset Girl ft. Akon and Wyclef
13. Lock you Down ft. Mya
14. Get It Shawty Remix ft. Lloyd
15. You ft. Lloyd
16. One of a Kind ft. Paula Deanda
17. La, La, La
18. Shooter ft. Robin Thicke
19. Poppin' Remix ft. Chris Brown
20. Gimme That ft. Chris Brown
21. Tell Me ft. Bobby Valentino
22. Lost Without Weezy (Outro)

Recommend any R&B and Lil Wayne fan listen to this mixtape.
Another good Lil Wayne mixtape I got recently is http://i28.tinypic.com/o931ts.jpg It's got a lot of good hard core songs on it, most of which feature Juelz Santanna.

Eminem without a doubt.

I'm really into metal, emo, alternative, rock and punk, but not hip hop or rap. However, I've always liked Eminem, and I'm really loving his recent appearance on Airplanes Part II, along with B.O.B and Hayley Williams :)

Big Boi has a new solo album out, Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty (awesome name, right?). He is often overlooked as the other half of OutKast living in the very large shadow cast by Andre 3000. However, Big Boi is more than capable of holding his own, and this album proves it. Very good album.

I'm lovin' Drake at the moment.

I had to make this because I found these lyrics too funny.

Jay-Z takes the steal for second place.

I think for us West Coast representers, the only guys doin' right anymore are:

1. The Game. (Listen to Dope Boyz and My Life ft. Lil Wayne) My Life is a must.
2. Ice Cube. (Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It and Do Yo Thang)

As for universal Rap. I can't name my favorites in any order, that would be wrong, but here's a list.

Kanye West, Eminem (Although Im not digging Relapse at all), Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Tupac, B.I.G, The Game, Xzibit, Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Cypress Hill, T.I, Beastie Boys, Ice Cube, Obie Trice, DMX, and Jay-Z.

I know, a long list, but I listen to Hip/Hop alot and thought it would be unfair to name one legend and not another. Please fix if I missed someone.
