Tupac - California Love is one of my favorite songs of all time. In terms of favorite artist, I'd say:
1: Eminem
2: Tupac
3: Lil' Wayne
In that order.

Bone Thugs
Wu Tang
2pac

My top 3.

Bone is coming out with a new album May 4th and I cannot wait. I just registered for their "fan site". Man you wouldn't know it was a fan site, every other thread is "Bone fell off" or "Sellouts". But anyway Im excited for the new album Ive been waiting years for this. All 5 members back together.

Has anyone had a chance to hear the new Wu? Its called Wu Massacre and its only Meth, Ghost and Raekwon. I wanna get it but I gotta watch my cash so I wanna know if its good enough.

On the topic of Em, I gotta agree that he has been making some weird stuff as of late. I can't vibe to it like I used too but I ain't mad at him, I think artists have to change 'cause they can't just do the same thing over and over or it gets stale to fast. I just wish he didn't do cartoony rap (how he raises his voice when he is "playing around") I think he would do great spitiin political raps. Hes got so many kids listening he could really open some eyes.

I get the feeling Eminem could pull off the same topics Immortal Technique raps about well. I really prefer Eminems darker stuff. I've been listening to Forever by Drake nonstop, listening to it right now in fact, and Em is great on that track, at least I think so. That's the type of Eminem I like.

I can see why they stuck him at the end of the song. He killed it on that track and IMO put the other 3 to shame. I like that flow, I just wish I didn't have to sit through the other 5 min. ;)

Well, I love the rest of the song too, I'll defiantely be checking out more of Drake's stuff. Say what you will about mainstream and poppy rap, if I enjoy listening to it then that's all that matters to me.

My favorite rap artists are probably Mac Dre, Andre Nickatina, and 2Pac. I also really enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYDn8vtT5jo if that counts.

On the topic of Rap/Hip Hop, I saw Afroman live about a week ago and it was great. He has packed on few pounds though.

Ghostface Killah's Fishscale is still a masterpiece
From the surreal

Yo
Aiyyo I'm lost underwater
I see a pink dog with a crystal handle, so I keep swimmin
Amazed that I'm not drownin
Butterflies took control when I arrived, I opened the door
No I knocked first, I'm not on my turf
I seen a ray of lights that resemble live fireworks
Some mermaids with Halle Berry haircuts flashin they tail
Like follow me now, don't be afraid
I'ma show you where all the djinns and spirits pray
If you scared to face this life you shouldn't stay
So I kept on swimmin, grabbed on to her fin to help me out
As we got close I seen the boat all shot up with his anchor out
Then she asked me politely what I'm thinkin about
I said nuttin - she said nuttin leaves nuttin
If you fill me up bet this'll bring that out
I seen rubies, diamonds, smothered under octopus
Jellyfish sharks soar, aquaproof pocketbook
Pearls on the mermaid girls
Gucci belts that they rock for no reason from a different world

to the pathetic waste of life selling drugs is

Shakey Dog

Off came the latch, Frank pushed me into the door
The door flew open, dude had his mouth open
Frozen, stood still with his heat bulgin'
Told him Freeze! lay the ____ down and enjoy the moment
Frank snatched his gat, slapped him, axed him
Where's the cash, coke and the crack? Get the smoke and you fast
His wife stood up speakin' in Spanish, big [well endowed lady] holdin' the cannon
Ran in the kitchen, threw a shot, then kicking the four fifth
Broke a bone in her wrist and she dropped the heat
Give up the coke! But the [lady] wouldn't listen
I'm on the floor like holy ____! Watchin my man Frank get busy
He zoned out, finished off my man's ____
He let the pitbull out, big head Bruno with the little shark's teeth chargin'
Foamin' out the mouth, I'm scared
Frank screamin', blowin' shots in the air
Missin' his target, off the Frigidare, it grazed my ear
Killed that [naughty] pit, ran to the bathroom butt first
Frank put two holes in the doorman's Sassoon
The coke's in the vacuum, got to the bathroom, faced his bad moves
The big one had the centipede stab wound
Frank shot the skinny dude, laid him out
The bigger dude popped Frankie boy, played him out

Do what you do. I don't have any rite to tell someone else what to listen to. If you like it then do it. I don't so I won't. No big deal.

Exactly, everything would be so much easier if everyone thought like that.

Now that doesn't mean I'm not open to suggestions though, I'd love to hear from people who have a broader knowledge of hip-hop than I do.

Glad to see my thread was good enough to form a second :D

DJ Khaled in my opinion is a very good producer or whatever he is...All I Do Is Win is my new theme song haha and Go Hard ft. Kanye and T-Pain is nasty because of Kanye's verses

It really is. "Shakey Dog" is Ghostface at his story-telling best. Most people prefer Supreme Clientele, but I'm one of the few who don't

I know Bone just dropped a free one called the Fixtape 3: special delivery.

I would also like some recommendations, I don't pay much attention to mixtapes.

My favorite mixtape ever is probably We Got It 4 Cheap Vol. 2 by Clipse.

Well, Lil Wayne has released a [censored] load of mixtapes, though you may not like him, it seems we who do are a minority here :P

I've been listening to 36 Chambers a lot recently, as well as http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Spirit_of_Apollo. But other than that I've not been that into hip-hop recently. Any suggestions for me?
