Fallout games have given us some great variety in post apocalyptic life outside of the vault. Which is your favorite location to visit?

The Boneyard is pretty cool, and not only because it's home/birthplace to my favorite faction - The Followers

And yea, I think in NV it's Goodsprings. It seems to be the only sane place in the Mojave!
If DLC's count, then I would probably move to Zion. I just love the clean water and the lush setting.

The Sierra Madre isn't really a community.....yet.

I my favorite one in NV is either Nellis or New Vegas itself. For Fallout 3 I used to like Tenpenny but I'm leaning more towards Underworld or Rivet City now.

In terms of places to visit, gotta be Zion Canyon. Beautiful place to be in. I enjoy "hunting" there.

Overall I think Nellis is the best. Their defenses are effective to the point of even deterring well meaning waterlanders from getting too close. They appear to be very self sufficient. Their isolation helps me as a player understand their point of view when it comes to dealing with anyone from outside of their society. After talking to a few people I learned their origins before settling there(avoiding minor spoilers) and how the artillery pieces made their way to an Air Force base. They are interwoven in a very careful way with another part of the wasteland that made me feel I was being rewarded for taking a second look during my quests. They had an idea of life in the future that didn't involve the courier doing odd jobs for them. I have to give mention to runner up Little Lamplight. Given they aren't particularly "fun" to visit they add an interesting variety. They do leave me with nagging question of "where do they come from?" Underworld for having an interesting collection of characters with a few good individual stories who banded together for safety from smoothskin prejudices. Last, but not least, Rockopolis for being a town with a few stories(radio) though all we ever really see are its remains.

Searchlight

I always get depressed when I know that this large settlement area was just crapped on by a radiation cloud.

Big Town, I just love lending a hand to that town of scrappy little fighters.

Haven't played Tactics as of this post. May have to give it a try to see Vault Zero. If you have New Vegas on PC (and want a smoother feel and more immersive experience to freeside) I highly recommend "New Vegas Uncut - Freeside Open" from the nexus forums.
