R-Type 3 and Gradius 3 are the best shooters on the system. Gradius 3 has a lot of slowdown though, but that's arguably a welcome feature in some situations.

Was always a fan of General Chaos.

Pretty sure that was Genesis only.

-Zombies Ate My Neighbors - Run around and shoot zombies and monsters

Was that the one with giant babies? :lmao: That was fun, too bad i never owned it myself. Now i know i owned a SNES, but i don't remember any exceptional games i had on it  Only games from NES and PS (most of which i still have).

Wish I could play Terranigma and find a PAL SNES to poke it with.

:sadvaultboy: I feel for you man. Great game, that one.

Super Metroid is my favorite...I think. I've replayed Terranigma the most though. I usually get an itch to play it once a year.

My top list?

7th Saga
Adams Family(NOT fester's quest)
Donkey Kong Country series
Final Fantasy IV-VI
Lufia II
King of the Monsters 2
Kirby Super Star (WHERE IS THE LOVE FOR KIRBY?)
Knights of the Round
Megaman X1-3
Out of this World (SNES version is best)
Super Mario All Stars + World
Super Mario RPG
Super Metroid
Terranigma
Zombies Ate My Neighbors!

Super Mario RPG and The Legend of The Seven Stars

Amen brother. Hands down the greatest SNES game and definitely should be on the top ten list of greatest games of all time.

Weird, thought I replied to this last night, but I guess not.

Anywho, Chrono Trigger. It isn't my #1 game anymore, but still pretty close. Also, even though it didn't get an official translation until Anthology on PSone, Final Fantasy V. I liked it so much more than VI, and Exdeath > Kefka. :P

The SNES holds a lot of memories with me, it had some really good games. I spent hours with a buddy in donkey kong country 2(I think?), the one with Diddy and the girl Kong. Final Fantasy 3 is easily one of my top 5 rpgs ever, and Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a classic co-op adventure, really one of the funnest ever.

So far I've bought Earthbound (haven't played much but it's amazing), Contra III:Alien Wars, and Street Fighter 2: Turbo. I'm still looking to buy more so keep'em coming everybody.

My favorite SNES games were certainly Mortal Kombat 1, 2 and 3.

Others I loved:
Primal Rage,
Super Mario All Stars,
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time,
Donkey Kong Country,
and Super Metroid.

... That's all I can think of off the top of my head. I would look through my collection but a friend of mine is borrowing my Snes and games.

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Agreed, that game was tough, but brilliant. Had a hard time beating it. Actually, I still have it together with my SNES, might start playing it again, thanks for the reminder :D
