I tried all three starts and have to say that even though the Dominion has two races I dislike, I like that starting area the best.

I wish I could vote prioritized... I like the Daggerfall area first, Ebonheart second, and Aldmeri last...
I really dislike the beach, temple, etc... and love the Desert, jungle stuff... main reason I like the other one is familiar Skyrim setup and clustered quests... but then it becomes Mushroom-Ville and I don't like that...
I haven't even played yet. Pact. because Blackmarsh
Daggerfall was by far the best. How can't you like the tropical desert feel? Aldmeri was second because it also had a nice beachy magical feel. Ebonheart was bland, lame skyrim-that-I-have-played-way-too-much thrown right into swamp fart land. Definitely saving that faction for last, lest I burn out hard too quickly.
Aldmeri is the best for beauty, quality of quests and the least amount of being forced to run all over the place for quests, then Daggerfall not far behind, then Ebonheart in a very distant last place.
Swamp doesn't need to be thought of as ugly:

Linked to that forum post, because it is also what came up in Google search. Also has some info in it for anyone interested.
Of course, as most here are already aware, Morrowind offers a unique environment many describe as alien.
I love both areas and both Argonian and Dunmer. Unfortunately it is true the starting area is a bit disappointing for them. Starting out on Bleackrock, which even by Skyrim standards is boring. Then off to Bal Foyen, which is more of a muddy road-side stop than simulating anything close to the concept art in the link above. But I have hope that the later zones will get better and I don't want to spend 1-50 leveling in another zone before I can explore them.
As far as quests go, the Aldmeri's was good, but mainly only because of that Raz kat dude, whose name I forgot. There were no NPC's from Ebonheart that really stuck in the mind. When whats-her-face dies (one of the quest options) I just didn't care. At all. Completely forgettable.
