Favorite TES game

Not that you have all had a chance to play skyrim, which one is your favorite? i know not everyone has played them all yet but many of us have..though i think over the years some content and world complexity has been replaced by things like graphics and voice acting if they brought all the right things to skyrim it would be the best.

Skyrim. I played Morrowind first and I enjoyed it. Then Oblivion and I loved it. Then Skyrim came and I love it(in more ways than one).
SO Skyrim

As far as enjoyment for first time playthrough goes, Oblivion. But I was younger then, so it was easier for me to become enthralled by games. But still Oblivion.

Woo, a normal poll, thank the gods, an actual normal poll without a second favourite or thord favourite or putting DLC's in the favourite game option.

A poll with just the 5 games, thank god.

Not only do I think that Skyrim is the best Elder Scrolls game, but it's easily the best game I've ever played. I do, however, wish that they had kept the skills and stats the way they were. I don't really care much for the perk system, but it's a minor complaint. The game is incredible anyway.

well modded oblivion, but as far as vanilla goes hands down its morrowind. maybe once ive modded skyrim it will be my favorite, but as far as what bethesda has done theyve yet to surpass morrowind and probably never will.

I adored Morrowind, but I think I have to give the prize to Skyrim. Skyrim>Morrowind>>>>>>>Oblivion. Sorry, Oblivion, you just couldn't compare to your predecessor or successor. ;)

Morrowind. Skyrim doesn't compare, and perhaps no game ever will. It will be interesting to see this poll pop up again in 2 years time once the hype and enamor wears off.

Oblivion is the first elder scrolls game that I got deep into, and loved. I had Morrowind before Oblivion, but didn't get into it much.

Morrowind only by a few inches. Skyrim would have beat Morrowind if it wasn't for the shortness of the guild questlines in Skyrim.

Skyrim; all technical issues aside, the game is outright fun, and a vast improvement over Oblivion. All of the TES games have fantastic (although I never got the chance to play Arena or Daggerfall), and Skyrim is a great addition to the series. If we're to look at each game objectively, Skyrim is definitely superior to the rest simply because Bethesda had more to work with than they did years ago when they were creating Oblivion.

In terms of the game that made the most impact, however, and is overall the most groundbreaking to the series, Oblivion is my pick. Oblivion brought in tons of gamers who, in the last gaming generation, saw nothing special about TES games. It made things easier to understand, and more fun and accessible to gamers who found in difficult to play and enjoy the likes of Morrowind.
