Favorite Unique Weapons in Games?

Post » Tue Feb 18, 2014 11:59 pm

Simple question. Do you have any favorite unique weapons? And I'm talking about unique as in they are very specific and only in that specific game/series... Not talking about common stuff like shotguns, machine guns, swords, axes, etc... I'm talking about very unique stuff...

Though sadly it seems that there isn't much unique melee weapons out there but there are some... One unique melee weapon I know is from RuneScape actually... Ivandis flail; It is an enchanted mithril staff with a silver/mithril chain and a silver sickle as the 'head' (Instead of a mace's head)... (http://static1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111123022237/runescape/images/8/84/Ivandis_flail_detail.png for those who are curious).

Another favorite of mine is the Needler from the Halo series. I think must of us know what the Needler is and I shouldn't require to say much about it!

My favourite weapon is the http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-51feEdP_8H8/Tt4yTv03IdI/AAAAAAAAHqM/S7wEAsPPptM/s1600/Bolter_by_Nirwrath.jpg.

Gun that can fire a multitude of different bullets ranging from armour penetration to implosion rounds.

The basic "bullet" or bolt is explained well in this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnHyEhS1lSM.

Korasi's Sword, also from RuneScape. And the Blisterwood Polearm, same origin.

Also, there was a Sharpshooter Longbow I modded into Skyrim. Had an instant-kill enchantment  (but was really slow).

The heavy automatic shotgun from Metro 2033. Basically a 12.7mm machine gun that fired shotgun shells. It wasn't very practical, but man was it cool.

Wunderwaffe DG-3 from World at War. I just have an affinity for it, and it's pretty darn cool.

The scoped VSS in Stalker. Had a lot of fun zombie-hunting with that.

Well, depending on your country you could probably get one with a mock silencer.

RuneScape did had some fun unique stuff... I was always that one type of player that Dharokers feared cause I just wait with the Dharokers and simply use Korasi on them when they try to go after somebody else. (And normally I'm just relaxing in rest mode with nothing on so everybody doesn't take me as a threat)...

Also, Blisterwood Polearm was just bad*** and highly OP against vampyres... I hit higher than half my health with that thing on them! (And my health was 'near' max... Well level wise, not experience wise).

That is... Awesome!

My favorite too. Though the http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3GcVIJI0kQ does have things going for it too

Also, Widow and Saber in Mass Effect 2 and 3. Big, heavy and slow but powerful, exactly how i prefer my Infiltrator's weapons. With Assassination Cloak and Assassin specialization of course

Meh, http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/File:Blazefire_Saber-ffxiii-weapon.png is more practical.

Scarab Gun Easter Egg in Halo 2.

But my all-time favorite weapon in any game is the UAC Bulpdaun in Brink. I'm saving up to buy an Airsoft PDR-C to paint it to resemble the Bulpdaun. By Odin I love that thing.

Nope, you're not. Right now, I'm saving up to re-build my Kit. Going for a Splinter Cell/Sam Fisher theme this time around. Been rolling with an Army of Two Salem Mask and accomping gear. I've also been looking into making a Kit build after My Brink character. Even if i don't do well in a game, I find the Kit Building to be almost as fun as Playing.

I have to say, I like these thread topics, Jusey. You're doing good work.

My favorite unique weapon would probably have to be the Gauss Rifle from the fallout series. I know it's 'technically' not a unique weapon, but it was rare enough that it counts. There's a unique one in New Vegas so I guess I could say that one in particular. I just really like that gun in fallout. It's cool. They seemed to put a lot of work into figuring out how it would work (Namely Fallout 2 because of the skill and ammo requirements).

That's why I like it [Blisterwood]. Nothing like one-shotting a Vyrelord to ruin their day, eh?
