Favorite Weapon : IV

My favorite vanilla weapon is probably the Wabbajack...followed closely by Duskfang/Dawnfang and Mehrune's Razor. The Wabbajack is just too fun.... and it is the only weapon that renders its bearer the power to defeat Mehrunes Dagon. That really says something, I think....

Once you go into mods, its much harder to choose. But if I had a favorite, I would say it would be the Daedric Toy Hammer from FCOM.... I stumbled across it quite accidently, and got a really great surprise when I used it! Maybe this is a running theme...good surprises makes for a good weapon.

How about anyone else? Favorite weapon?

Vanilla, probably the Katanas.
Mods, well with Millions, if not billions, it is hard to decide for me.

Mods... I can't decide. I too love Adonnay's Classical Weaponry, but I have so many mods downloaded I can't even remember where my favorite weapons are from.

Are those last two considered vanilla, since they're from expansions/DLC?

Anyway, being on Xbox I can't answer favorite mod, but my favorite vanilla is Umbra. Fills up my gems and weightless. If we're including expansions, my favorite is the all-powerful Fork of Horripilation! Killing enemies with a BBQ fork is priceless.

Playing as a pure mage I acutely use default weapons for the first time, mainly the mage staff of paralyze. Else I always use custom or sigil stone enchantments.

Vanilla: Iron Claymore.
Modded: Almost any sword in Trolff's Armentarium or Addonay's Elven Weapons.

So far, the Templar Longsword I'm using in my sig pic, looted off a dead Dragonsworn. It looks great and the damage is the same as a Claymore even though it's one handed.

Vanilla: Self-enchanted Daedric bow. I quite like the look of it. Moreso than amber or madness bows.

Mods: The level 19+ Hatred's Soul with its in-game enchantments removed (mod), and self enchanted. It still looks like a Daedric bow. I quite prefer self-enchantments, and love a small mod I have that allows me to 'unenchant' anything I want so I can enchant it to suit my purposes.

Vanilla: self-enchanted ebony bow. Don't leave home without it!

Mods: I just played through Dungeons of Ivellon, and picked up a wide array of excellent weapons from that. Amarel's new blade of choice is an Ivellon longsword, blessed by Stendarr.

Well in Vanilla, it would be either Umbra or Shadowrend.
In mods, I don't add too many mods that add weapons and such, but love the glaives added by...OOO I think? They look awesome with DMC Stylish 2h animations

Favorite is definitely Dawnfang/Duskfang or Akaviri Claymore/Katana from vanilla.

Custom enchanted weapon is no doubt Akaviri Claymore with Absorb Health.

My favorite is the Elven Bow, enchanted or not.

I do not think I use any mods for weapons. Mostly they are for gameplay, armor, or clothes.

Id have to say my favorite weapon that is not in a mod is Umbra.
when talking mods my favorite weapon is Reign Of Truth or Sorrow from Addonay's classical weaponry

None whatsoever. Well, magic. But that's not a physical weapon you can touch (until it's melting your face).

But most of my mages (so most of my characters) carry a Silver Dagger for ceremonial reasons.

I actually think we could split the topic's question in two:

- Weapons you use most (if you want the power it grants);

- Weapons you like most, eg., I may use Daedric Bow more due to the damage stuff, yet I really find the Elven Bow more elegant. Same thing for Dai-Katana and Longsword...

Frost or fire enchanted Elvin daggers.
