Favorite Weapon that you never use

Post » Fri Nov 18, 2011 11:14 pm

Well that may sound confusing and to be a pointless question, but this is what I mean.

Some people like I have the patience to manuever things inside out player homes so it looks like it is being displayed. And after all that you don't want to pick up that gun you took all that time to place, so you forever leave it there.

So question is which weapons are you're favorite to put up and display. For me I would say the Bozar, AER-14, Nephi's Driver, and a few other generic ones like an extra anti-materiel rifle.

The Recharger Rifle. I put it on the work bench with a bunch of junk and a Nikola Tesla and You book so it looks like I'm trying to trick it out somehow.

Also the Protonic Inversal Axe leaning against a wall.

Well, this post just showed me where I draw the line between roleplay and gameplay. I love roleplaying a character, but while I do choose a haven for them, I never go to so much trouble as to put weapons on display. Interesting concept though.

Fartman. Over 1100 hours played and I bet I've only shot a total of about 8 mini nukes total from all characters.

Sometimes it requires great deals of patience as the thing always falls over and things like that.

Boxing Tape. I wonder if it's possible if you can play the entire game just fighting with boxing tape, food for thought.

Most of the GRA weapons are on display. And I have one of each skill book (somehow) stuck in the snack vending machine in the sink. Took forever to line them up right.

Mine would be the Tesla Cannon/Beaton Prototype, I love it so much but sadly its just been nurfed waaay too much in NV from FO3, I mean, they even took out its AoE effect, originally it was supposed to be an energy missile launcher but without its AoE and low low health its just become such a shadow of its formal self since Fo3. I've always wondered why the would do that to the tesla canons and I guess they've just given up on it, I sadly dont expect it to be in Fo4 :(

It actually is, but I wouldn't recommend it as it makes certain opponents a massive pain (literally, in some cases) to deal with unless you use a specific Unarmed build.

As for favorite weapons I never use: Plasma Pistol.

Even with the GRA version being moddable, the Defender is too and can also be gotten, along with said mods, fairly early on. Of course, the Pistol can be gotten in Goodsprings, along with all three mods, so the next EW character I make may well use it, since I tend to loot everything not nailed down in Goodsprings and will now actually have something to spend it on.

.45 SMG. Fully modded with the Grunt Perk and Handloaded ammo it's just too powerful. It's like bringing howitzer to a knife fight.

But I never put weapons out for display. Only things I ever found that looked cool enough to put out where Atomic Cocktails. If you've never seen what they look like outside your inventory drop one next time you're playing.

The Sink I treat as the Courier's personal armory. Saying that my logic is a little warped.

As companions cannot use modded weapons the Sink is filled mostly with modded guns, This includes things like the holorifle, GRA weapons and anytihng else they'll refuse to use.

Comparatively the Lucky 38 suite is filled to the brim with unique weapons, mostly along the huge-assed table in the kitchen. I did a similar thing in FO3 by choosing the explorer theme with the picnic bench you get.

I just love the idea of the Courier a-la joshua grama sitting there checking all the weapons, and then passing a couple out to his companions for whatever missions.

So, favourite display weapon? Probably things with a unique skin or quirk, like medicine stick or Maria.

Nuka Breaker is currently on display in my Novac Room. I also keep a modded recharger pistol on the pillow or nightstand of every bed I sleep in.

Some weapons are better for display than others. On my last play though (in OWB, before GRA came out) threw the YCS, AMR, LMG, TBT, Automatic Rifle and Annabelle on the bedroom shelves on the sink

Lucky is overall my favourite weapon in the game, I always feel relief when I go to the Bison Steve, open that safe and put it in my inventory. The thing is, when I get farther in the game I stop using it as much and it eventually gets replaced by something more powerful.

Euclid's C-Finder and the X-2 Antenna. They're both really cool, but half the time Euclid's doesn't work and the X-2 Antenna is slow and really only practical on robots or BoS.

I've always wanted to dedicate a shelf to the marked men helmets you get from Lonesome Road.

in FO3 i got the love theme, piled mutulated body parts on the heart shaped bed and detonated a bio-gas grenade on top of it! looked better than the radier theme!! almost every character ive built since then always has something similar, like my house in novac, the tub is filled with mutulated body parts and human flesh!! fits the cannibal characters to a T!!!! always with a ripper and chainsaw "HANDY", just in case....

AMR. Just love the look on the big-ass sniper rifle on display.

Also, I remember first trying this in Oblivion. I made my houses look pretty sweet...but oh what a nightmare it was... :cryvaultboy:

All explosives, I find them too cool and too expensive to use, and all my characters are Explosives-based...

Probably Eulicid's C-Finder.

I love the weapon, but I rarely use it as there is only a few times instances its practical (if it doesn't glitch up that is).

Alien Blaster not enough ammo for my liking. The gun is a beast cause you'll vape your target faster then any other energy weapon. If i had more ammo like they did with FO3 I would def have this gun grafted to my hand :gun:

Automatic Rifle. I love the thing dearly, but .308 is just so goddamed expensive to buy and/or handload.
