I bet that this question's been asked before, but I just wanted to get some quick opinions, here. I'm starting what's probably my 4th playthrough and I've decided to pick my weapons based on what's coolest or what feels best rather than straight-up effectiveness (that means no Brush Gun or Medicine Stick this time around). I've been having a lot of fun thus far; I'm using pistols a lot more (Maria's a beast for something so small) and I'm just getting a better feel overall for this game's versatility.

So I wanted to ask, what're your guys' favorite weapons? If you could only use one for an entire playthrough, what would it be? And if you can't narrow it down that far, what's your favorite weapon in each category? I'll start: if I were to bring a gun to my best friend's wedding, This Machine would be my +1. It's got the whole vintage look, it makes an awesome noise when reloading, and it's even got some ferocious stopping power. I'm just sorry that I didn't bother picking it up until my latest playthrough.

What about you? I don't have much experience with melee, unarmed, or energy weapons, so some opinions on that end would rock. Also, if you happen to have the DLC, FOOK, and/or Project Nevada (I can't actually remember if PN comes with weapons) installed, feel free to name weapons available there.
