mmmm mainly due to time period the game is set I would say

yeah, i dont think they were among the most popular, thanks to the altmer being stuck up, and the adoring fan ruined it for wood elves, but the dominion has made them even less popular.

me too, i thought they would be one of the highest, not particurlarly surprised about the altmer hating going on though, thanks to the thalmor.

Maybe more folks than suspected have my view of the hist or maybe dunmer fans are really disliking Argonians about now.

I picked Ork. Orc racial power is useful at all levels. Bosimer are lame. Argonians and Khajiit are the races I like for the look. I wish there was more of them to pick from to marry.

Dunmer as people's least favorite race? I thought everyone loved them, judging from the fact that they seem to come in second in every "what race are you playing as?" thread.

I like the wood elf because they have resistances to both poison and disease.

Argonian, at first the reason was the looks and then the more I read about the culture and history of all the races the more I was convinced that if I ever lived in Tamriel I'd definitely want to be Argonian.

Favourite is the orc. I think whoever designed them for skyrim did a seriously good job. I can't get over how great they look. Especially the males. They look fearsome and intimidating, but are just humanoid enough to keep you attached to them if you are playing one. I like the lore surrounding the orcs and at least for skyrim they have for me the perfect skillset if you enjoy playing as a pure warrior. They also have a racial that is very useful and also suits the race.

The only race I really dislike is the altmer. The 50 magicka is so very good, especially compared to the other racial bonuses, that I find myself considering them for EVERY magic using character I play (even warriors). On top of that I hate the Thalmor!

It probably should have been 30 magicka instead, then they would be about right in terms of balance.

My favorite races are Khajit, Argonian, and Imperials. I like the backstory possibilities with all three and they all three have some useful abilities.

Dunmers and Nords! If I had to pick one race I don't like it would be the Argonians. I just don't feel like playing a lizard. It feels a bit childish in a way, tbh

Yeah, it's really childish to play a lizard in a fantasy video game. We should all be original and play 'vikings' or humans with long ears.

I never played as an Orc before - only a Nord in both Morrowind and Oblivion, but I decided to go with an Orc this time, and I'm loving it. Orc is easily now my favorite race. I don't really dislike any though...

Least favourite is Altmer for sure. They're ugly and arrogant and I dislike magic. Favourite is tough, I like Dunmer, Redguard and Khajjit the most.
