Favourite armor and apparel

Post » Wed May 09, 2012 7:37 pm

Just curious to what people are really diggin these days while they play. Lately i've been rocking the vault 34 security armor with enclave officer hat and authority glasses. I seem to be favouring light armor a lot more in my recent playthroughs. The speed difference really stands out to me. But what have you guys been going with lately? I'm always looking to improve my characters look in vats when he is making s&*t hit the fan lol

I love running around in Joshua Graham's armor in my Legion playthrough.

The simple irony of wearing the same armor of his old Legate while doing his bidding like his old Legate makes me chuckle a bit.

Plus the armor looks cool and is light (I'm sticking to light armor due to my character being mainly melee, I don't like losing speed while running up to my enemies just for more protection).

Depends on how I'm playing. My most recent play through, I played a Tribal who had left his tribe to explore the outside world a bit. He took a job as a Courier to make some caps, and after the job (which was to be his last,) he would return to his tribe after spending the caps on the needed supplies for him to make the trip. But of course he gets shot on his last job, and when he wakes up, he can't remember what tribe he's exactly apart of.

Basically he just ran around that entire game, in Great Khans gear, thinking he was a Great Khan until he left for Zion and started getting flashbacks to his actual tribe.

I really dig the Great Khan armor as well, and I would like to do a true play through as one of them, using lever action rifles and sleeping outside, no housing. But it svcks that their armor is factioned based and I never get Legion or NCR assassians to come after me when I wear it. And I really enjoy having a random shoot em up gun fight every couple days with those assassians.

Maybe you have had better luck running into them while wearing the khan armor? If I do a legion playthrough next, maybe i'll try their armor again.

so jealous with those reskinned armors. I assume you are on pc? I'm stuck on the consoles for now. would love to be able to change the colour of some of the armors in the game.

Elite Riot Gear. The NCR Combat Ranger armor was my favorite from the vanilla game, just for the badass duster and gasmask. The Elite Riot Gear has all of that, along with some more wicked-looking armor on the torso, legs, and shoulders. And gets rid of the faction alignment to boot!

Daniel's Hat is also pretty sporting. The guy may be lacking in good judgment on nearly every front, but I'll be damned if he doesn't have one cool hat!

I got the Van Graffs armour for doing battle. You may be thinking, Hey Rooster! The Van graff's are bad guys! Well, don't worry little, Roosters ...

Let's just say I ain't wearing it with the Van Graff's permission .... ;)

When I'm settling differances with my words instead of my guns, which is all the time, I like the Kings Outfit and the Jail house rock outfit. Just looks so damn cool ...

No hats though, I can't hide this pretty face ...

Depends on a playthrough. I'm currently playing as a rich ex-brahmin baron so I'm sticking with Grimmy pre-war businesswear and have recently acquired Benny's suit.

T51-B Power Armour. Probably due to an infatuation with space marines. If I played on PC I would so reskin it with blood angels colours and insignias.

Next playthrough I want some cool light armour, don't know exactly what, but I'm currently leaning towards the leather duster, cowboy hat and shades look.

At the moment because I just completed Honest Hearts, Joshua Graham's armor. It looks cool, is light and offers good DT. And when I'm feeling like a psychopath I put on Salt-Upon-Wound's helmet and go murder me some Fiends. Makes me feel like an implacable demon.

The Lightweight Leather Armor is an armor I use a lot too, regardless of what character I'm playing. Such a useful armor, and looks functional.

Apparel-wise I like the Wasteland Doctor's Outfit, Pre-War Business Suit + Pre-War Hat, and the Merc Troublemaker Outfit. More because of aesthetics than utility, to be honest.

It depends on my roleplay but if anything I prefer my male courier to wear van graff armor and my female to wear Vault 34 security armor, both equipped with authority glasses.

SSGT Vickers' Desert Ranger armor from HH with a slave scarf and authority glasses with the "forgivememama" helmet quick-keyed. My other character wears the Assassin suit from DM and a lobotomite mask from OWB. A sort of dark ninja assassin thing going on. But before that, I had him with a Marked Beast Eyes helmet from LR and Tribal Raiding armor/raider blast master armor. The combo looked really samurai to me.

A lot of the time I just wear the space suit.

Just because the Mojave residents have apparently decided to go with a Western theme doesn't mean I have to. This is still the post-Apocalyptic future, damn it, and anyone who looks in my general direction is going to be made thoroughly aware of it.

Elite Riot gear. i always liked the Ranger combat armor, but this is just so much cooler. I also have a character wearing marked scout armor which I think looks cool, even though it's a bit weak.

I've been using the Dead Money security armor and helmet. The helmet is ok looking. I like this type of armor because the CND is hard to degrade.

I'm rocking the Authority glasses, Viva Las Vegas and the Pimp Boy. :disguise: Suave Mcdermot is looking sharp I must say. I'm glad I found out about the Pimp Boy, the gold and diamonds look awesome compared to the regular Pip Boy.
