I'll include manga in this thread as well
Back when I used to read comics, my all time favorites were Transmetropolitan, Nextwave, and Preacher. I like that manic-to-the-point-of-being-nearly-psychotic storytelling and sense of humor. And Spider Jerusalem is my all time favorite character. Anyone who has the stones to
is a winner in my book. For my part, I never much cared for manga.
[EDIT]
Oh, and Y: The Last Man. Loved that comic.
Since I strongly believe regular comics are dumb (Plastic Man!), I'll just say that my favorite manga is Battle Tendency, because of its general over-the-topness and unique fight scenes, as well as the cool art style. I found it pretty good and entertaining.
Identity Crisis or The Killing Joke might just change your mind on that.
<------------The Walking Dead.
Always been a fan of any sort of apocalypse story and setting, and TWD is among my favorites. All of the struggle in the life of a zombie apocalypse, and at times, and the absolute brutality and horror that comes with it. The characters can be so psychotic, it just gets really [censored] up. I love it.
I'm also thinking about looking into the Fables comics. I've never heard of it until I played the Wolf Among Us, and the universe seems quite unique and overall very interesting.
My favorite comic strip will always be Calvin and Hobbes.
This Modern World by Tom Tomorrow-political commentary in the San Francisco Bay Guardian. I'm still into Richard Corben's comics and Jacques Tardi for the great artwork.
My absolute favourite? Hands down it's V for Vendetta.
My favorite comic is The Amazing Spider-man series.
