So, of all the companions in FO:NV who's your favourite? Mine personally is veronica

Veronica is a lisbian you know that love her too, but Raul is my favorite humanoid. Rex is my favorite dog cause he is a dog my best friend in game, i feel sooooo bad for him

Yeah, i know but her powerfist is pretty awesome, and she can carry a decent amount.

I never really used or needed workbenches, dont use energy weapons.

Rex, Lily, and Boone, though I hate Boone, because he don't talk to you only after spending a lot of time with him.

Boone is only one I really like, despite his NCR loyalties, because he speaks only when it's necessary and I have a thing for shell shocked war veterans.


I though I would like Arcade but he is way too whiny about his past for my taste.

I try to complete all of the companion quests on my playthroughs, so it generally comes down to who I feel would continue "journeying" with me after their quest is done. This usually leaves me with the options of EDE, Veronica, Cass, or Boone.

I don't particularly care for Boone ... I like to at least be able to visit the Legion on occassion

EDE is pretty cool, and I usually keep him around.

As far as Cass/Veronica - it's a toss-up but I like Veronica as a pack mule for all my MF cells I don't use, give her a nice EW and shes pretty good company.

So far I've recruited Cass, Arcade, Boone, ED-E and Rex, and out of those Rex is the only one I didn't really like much - I'm just not a dog person and he seems to die way too often. Cass and Arcade would be fun to hang out with, Boone kicks ass in a fight and ED-E is just cute.

You kidding? Rex killed 4 securitrons before being taken down, AND THEY HAD ROCKET LAUNCHERS AND GRENADE LAUNCHERS PLUS LASERS AND 9MM SUBMACHINE GUNS. ok sure i helped him a little, but....

Before upgrading his brain, Rex was taken down by a single fiends with a laser rifle ...

try AFTER upgrading he′s brain.

I assume that only Lupa's brain would have prevented such - and I don't see that being as huge an impact as one might be lead to believe. I have multiple issues with rex

1. Super high perception - this causes him to run off after enemies
2. Attack is a bite - after running to said enemies he is shot multiple time while trying to close in
3. Cyber dog frame - I think it looks terrible (I suppose this isn't really a legit complaint)
4. No dialogue (suppose some like this aspect)

All in all, the only reason Dogmeat was serviceable in FO3 was beacuse he was glitched to be invincible. I just don't think a dog has much use in New Vegas. Just my opinon though, I'm sure some people love him.

It does something surely. Rex can kill average NCR and Legion easily and thats what i need. EDE kinda died alot, he surely aint no fawkes, but Rex really is interesting in my opinion. Try taking the wild wasteland trait and u will notice some fun things that Rex can do

i'll have to give him a try ... I like EDE, i'm not sure if this makes a difference but i'm playing the ultimate edition and EDE eventually gains the upgraded weapon anyway, and after the Bortherhood ups his DT, the little guy is blasting deathclaws with only a shot or two from me.

I find both ED-E and Rex useful. ED-E's perk is perfect for snipers and Rex's perk is perfect for scavenger's so either of those are brilliant for me.
Veronica and Raul are my favourite companions to talk to.
Cass is my favourite when it comes to unloading an unhealthy amount of ordinance upon some profligate/Legion outpost.

ED-E, it's that flying beeping liscense plate thing i guess

Veronica, give her Pushy and power armor and she knocks everyone to the moon. She has a great voice and personality. And, she can do good energy range weapon dmg when you have the need. If you use Veronica, be nice and give her a dress.

Mine will be ED-E because he doesn't keep complaining on who I'm killing or what I'm doing also he's cool when he's all upgraded and he's part of the enclave and there a nice story tied to him.

Boone. Hands down.

I'm also very fond of Cass and Veronica. And ED-E is adorable.

I usually tend to prefer to do my adventuring solo ala steaslth/snipe but my two favorite companions to have around are Veronica and ED-E... although I have been known to give Cass Verias dress and go check out the shows at the Topps.
