Favourite DLC, And Why

Post » Tue Oct 29, 2013 2:15 am

It literally took any semblance of choice away from the main quest.

Broken Steel is why nothing like it will (hopefully) ever be made again. Unless they come up with some way to display every single ending possible.

Point Lookout got my vote as the story and whole area are pretty amazing. Broken Steel really only broke the game if you decided to side with the Enclave and spread the FEV but if you sided with BoS and didnt then it just continues the story where you left off (granted they retconed the whole Lone Wanderer sacrificing himself/herself but that didnt really bother me). Broken Steal did add a number of bullet sponge enemies which are not fun.

This is actually the only thing about Broken Steel that I liked, Fallout 3 was in desperate need of some hard-to-kill enemies.

The Pitt, crazy awesome atmosphere, loved the feeling, first time Fallout 3 gave you options on how you wanted something to go down, theme was great, and Ashur is my favorite character in the game probably.

Point Lookout was good , had better map exploration and more quests i enjoyed it very much. But my favorite was The Pitt i dont know the plot was very good all the characters were interesting and the atmosphere of that place really takes you into the game.

The Pitt, it had the most engaging story to me. And the hard choice you need to make at the end /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

i appear to be in the minority, but i actually liked Operation Anchorage. the DLC itself was kinda mediocre, but I did the DLC before doing anything past Megaton, and I used that Chinese Stealth Armor and Jingwei's Shocksword for the entire rest of the game. no other DLC had equipment I used that long.

The Pitt by far had the best premise/story. Broken steel I used more than any other. Operation: Anchorage was very fun and different from normal. Point look out was humongous, much to explore. Mothership zeta was a challenge i was willing to face. i liked all of them

Point Lookout had a nice "Old World" vibe to it with Desmond's long term hunt for his pre-war enemies, as well as the science lab.

Not to mention it had a nice-and-simple story without blowing it out of proportion. The exploration was great, and some parts of it were truly terrifying.

Pitt would be my second choice.

The Pitt, I thought that it had the best storyline and the best use of RPG elements.

man its a hard choice between point look out and the pitt they are both great but i had to pick point lookout it have that chinese spy quest and those hallucinations and the cult book that expands out of the DLC area it self like the place where you need to take it to be destroyed etc

I really agree with the part i bolded those hillbillies/swamp folk were damn creepy. I also liked how they incorporated the Dunwich Building from the core game into one of the quests in the DLC.

Point Lookout.
I love the atmosphere.
And Double-barrel shotgun.
And the T-rex fossil.
Aaand the pre-war stories it tells.

Point Lookout: I only played 2 of them. Which is Broken Steel and Point Lookout. Broken Steel did give the game a real ending but Point Lookout added a new area. So I'm going with that.

I disagree that the Pitt was too post-apocalyptic, it was the only place in Fo3 that had some rebuilding going on.

Id have to vote The Pitt. Havent done Broken or Mothership yet, though. I find O:A kinda.. Meh. It kind of reminds me of CoD or Medal of Honor, or Battlefield in a sense, which I thought was pretty cool. Give us a taste of FPS and a dash of RPG DLC. Kinda glad they didnt do something like that with NV though. But still a good experience.

I liked Point Lookout, but it didnt seem that there was much to do in such a large space. And it was so quick xD. The Pitt though.. Loved the story in it. And how they gave you a choice. Also gave my favorite gun in the game.. INtervention? Or something like that xD.

Point Lookout for me, I remember doing a diary in this section of my adventures there, which I absolutely loved. I think it's been lost in the midsts of time now, however. But I loved the swampy marshland and the new enemies.

Second place goes to The Pitt, simply because of the morally grey story; it's something that Fallout 3 lacked in general. It gave you a meaningful (and very difficult) choice that has started countless debates here, and is he best piece of writing in the entire game, in my opinion.
