oblivion is my favourite. Although i see what people mean about morrowind having a better atmosphere/ more in depth, its very good once you get into it. However there are so many improvements on oblivion its why i prefer.

The best elder scrolls for me has to be The Elder Scrolls II Chapter 2 Daggerfall! I know it's an older game but I was raise in 90's so it was one of my favorite back then. S_R_C

I've played TES1, 2, 3 and 4 and OB is my favorite. MW had some very cool stuff but I just couldn't get past the graphics and combat.

Oblivion

Im in a really small minority because like CCR here, Redguard is my favourite (once you get over the controls).

My second favourite is the consensus choice though, Morrowind

I've played them all at the time of their releases. I have really liked things about each and every game in the series. Daggerfall was so radically different than Arena with the whole skill system instead of XP. As much as I loved Arena at the time, Daggerfall seemed so brilliant! I loved that game and still do. There was such a long wait between Daggerfall and Morrowind that I would have been happy with anything. Luckily, Morrowind was crazy, beautiful. Oblivion had its moments too. There were some great game-playing elements in there.

With that being said, if I had to select one game, it would be Morrowind.

Morrowind, Oblivion comes close though.

Morrowind then Daggefall.

I've never played Battlespire or Redguard, so I don't have an opinion of them. Arena was ok. I could never really get into it. Out of Daggerfall, Morrowind and Oblivion, I can't pick a favorite. I love something different about each of them. Daggerfall has an amazing sense of immersion and a great atmosphere(if you can get past the graphics). Morrowind makes you feel a part of the game and has great gameplay. Oblivion has awesome gameplay and looks nice.

Morrowind is still my fave of the Elder Scrolls. I just liked the expansive world and it really created a great atmosphere. Oblivion was a good game but the setting was more familiar feeling, seemed less like a unique world.

Morrowind. Each playthrough felt like a new character because I wasn't forced directly into the main quest as obviously. Once I was the ex-thief leader of house hlaalu, then I'm sneaky khajiit assassin of the morag tong. I liked how there was less emphasis on the main quest, and more on the game in its entirety.

My favorite elder scrolls game would have to be Oblivion. Best graphics, animations, and game playing.

Morrowind. Love the customization, the mods, my psychotic, slave driving, Telvanni lord argonian, the vast lore, the numerous cultures, and that I can fire poison spells in the vanilla game.

OB would have to be next, but I should play more of DF before I can judge the two. DF certainly has a lot more freedom.

I LOVE OBRIVION!

Even though Morrowind is the 'truer' RPG and the main quest was (IMO) better, Oblivion is my favourite to play. Reason: no Cliffracers.... :flamethrower:

Even if it is not official announced yet .. but it has to be The Elder Scrolls V - "Skyrim". Even without knowing absolutely anything about it yet, without having any clue what it will look like - the effort we the fans of The Elder Scrolls series put into suggestions, ideas, pro and cons, comparing games of the series and speculations about the future of it .. even the fear of the fans that it might turn out to be a MMO (which isn't the case .. of course) give me the feeling that we are about to witness something special. I believe no other game community has shared so much information and provides help in so many ways to its loyal members - as we do.

And now make me a 30th birthday present and finally announce TES V, damnit. You have time till May, 20th!

A nice (and dusty .. hehe) collection you have there. Ambermoon was only available for Amiga right ? I played Amberstar for PC which was great. Nice to see that you didn't miss Wizardry in your collection. Personal I liked Wizardry 7 - Crusaders of the Dark Savant the most .. even more than Part 8. The fifth game in the 2nd row is Albion ? I liked that too but never finished it. Ever tried Ultima Underworld I+II ? They are awesome.
