TES: VI is my favorite. Went 20 years into the future to play it, it was pretty damn awesome. Makes Morrowind and Daggerfall look like complete and utter trash. Hell, not to mention it blows the hell out of *name removed*

We have to wait 20 years for TES VI? Gosh, I was thinking like ten.

Hopefully five. I don't want three to be my rpg fix forever. Admittedly, I'd play Oblivion over Morrowind, just cuz I like Madhouse, but I don't own Oblivion anymore, so whatever.

Elder Scrolls V is probably going to be better than Oblivion. I just want some confirmed information on it!!

Morrowind has my vote. Oblivion is a great game, but Morrowind is a work of art.

Another reason is that after a couple of characters in Oblivion, I had played through every single quest. But i've played 3-400 hours in Morrowind, and the only questline i've completed is the main quest, and I haven't even begun the Telvanni, Imperial Cult, Temple, Morag Tong questlines, or even half of the miscellaneous quests. There's just so much more to do.

Best ten bucks i've ever spent.

I've voted for Daggerfall. That's my type of game, always liked the idea of being able to play skirmish not only in strategy games. I think random dungeons and quests can be classified as the RPG equivalent of skirmish in RTS games. And I like the atmosphere, as well. Man, it's so epic when the Overcast or Sunny Day music is playing and you're riding towards Castle Wayrest, Daggerfall or Sentinel... The dungeons are really good, as well, despite being random generated. Even with the sound off it sometimes scares the crap outta me. The story is excellent, as well, solving major problems political bickering involved is always better than just saving the world. The quantity of options are really good too. You can create a character who can lame the whole game, or create a severely disadvantaged character who will require some tactics to actually be succesful. You can buy houses, you can store your money in banks, you can pick which province you want to live in, etc.. And, of course, it's open-ended!
Although I like Morrowind, as well, to me it's as good as Daggerfall. I even like Oblivion, to an extent. Oblivion may not be the best TES game, but it's certainly one of the better mainstream RPGs around.

most realistic and immersive. Although MW has got the grittiness, I find it hard to immerse myself when I cant sit in chairs, and when bread 'has no effect on me'

Physics. The only thing I can think of. Still, you don't even sink in water no matter how much stuff youre carrying. Sure it looks realistic to see a mace roll down a hil, but when you look at the big picture there's no realism to be found.

I know I say this a lot, but try Mount and Blade, especially if you like skirmishing.

It's like Oblivion for RPGers. I really think they saw the direction TES was going and attempted to fill the void for people who want the petty politics and depth along with the fighting.

You can literally start end end wars in it through persuasion or force or bribery.

How about we stop stating the why and just say "I voted for Oblivion"

This is a poll.. Not a discussion. Let the results decide, not your own self sense of the best game.

I always thought the comments were for discussion and the poll was for the... poll.
