Favourite faction and why?

Caesar's Legion - Because they're interesting and I agree with their ways (maybe not so much on the slavery, but I think it's just to match the Roman lifestyle).
2nd place is Great Khans or FotA

Okay, even if it doesn't really count I'd ad independent vegas to my favorit factions list (even if it's just becus it's how I would have molded it myself)

Also, what's with the legion hate? Beyond Slavery, they arn't that bad.

There's no need to list what you think is the worst faction. You'll transform this thread into a big argument if you do.

Yes man does not count as any thing. You can t tell him a single thing when he gets in House s network. He tells you what to do.

Yes man is an abortion of a ending/faction

If there was no courier, they would still probably beat the NCR at the Dam.

I'm afraid I have to disagree, the Legion is easily one of the strongest factions in the game. Without the courier they would easily wipe out the NCR from the Mojave and take the Hoover Dam. How many times in game do you talk to NCR soldiers and they say. "Oh no! The Legion is close!" Exactly my point, they strike fear into every single faction in New Vegas. I totally agree with their policies except for slavery, that is just plain wrong, but eh, it's just a game. An army that doesn't surrender and fights to the last man is a strong army, they have no fear, and dying to reach future goals is necessary, no running away with your tail between your legs. Sure, they use melee weapons primarily, but they also use guns as well. Let's not forget the howitzer in the fort, extra firepower. I would rather take a squad of Enclave than a group of Legionaries and Assassins.

I thought that the heart of a warrior could beat even the Enclave's armour :P, or did you see our corrections that the Enclave too are motivated by similar things.

I most have read over them,

With that being said, the Enclave will fight for what they believe in to the death as well. But I believe the Legion's pure brutality and fear is what gives them the advantage.

Guess that makes it okay then . When the organisation claims to be the champion of freedom and democracy and that's how they do [censored]. [censored] those guys.

Really, you think that House let the NCR pile C4 and explosives outside of his base and did nothing?

Does it make it right? Maybe not but its not the worst act committed in the wasteland. Its not like they are out to kill and enslave everyone they come across. NCR has great power and yet they choose to not use it, at least not as a first or even second option. Caesar talks about what he could do if only he had control of NCR. There is also a Nation that says they are the champion of freedom of Democracy and yet they committed many acts of genocide in order to build their great freedom loving nation. NCR is like that nation, all but for the acts of genocide.

They could just run up and place the bombs or go in guns a blazing, kill the gaurds and take all the time in the world to get the doors open.

Only thing saving Mr.House from NCR is that NCR wants to play nice.

Want? No, they're forced to play nice.

Legion keep them from throwing their weight around but I doubt they would attack house out right if he simply said no. Legion was not in the Mojave when NCR came and Mr.House set up the strip.

Yes and no. The NCR, while they want to, they will never charge in like barbaric tribals. In the words of House, 'There's just one reason they haven't contrived some outrage to justify invading The Strip....' The NCR, much like any government entity in the world, will always make some sort of accusation of being slighted so that they may march in and take what they wish and leave the rest to rot. While the NCR will not storm in without 'cause', the mere fact they would most likely go running in with the claim of 'HOUSE HAD IT COMING THAT WE MARCH IN BECAUSE......'

Like it or not, the Vegas region is House's by claim, seeing as he had set up there first. Then NCR came along, THEN Caesar came along last. So in all impartiality, NCR is also a foriegn invader like the Legion, the only difference is NCR is willing to make parley, where as the Legion does not do diplomacy.

Make no mistake, I don't hate NCR, but their behavior strikes a cord with me because it reminds of certiant things I won't say because politics is a no no here.

Elvis you r not thinking straight..... NCR already beat them once, and the vet rangers and heavies were coming anyway. There is no way in creation that cl wins that battle. Like I said if cl becomes canon I ll retire from fallout.

Once I saw what CL was all about I said to myself "there s no threat here, where s my option to go back to delivering packages. "

canon is established through means of lore, i agree that they werent a threat in the game, sadly, the game is horribly biased towards the NCR winning, while the lore behind it is for the eventual victory of the Legion.

NCR. Why? They have accomplished amazing heights in the world of Fallout. They are also corrupt which makes them even more badass. I love how they make their own armor, have connections with the Gun Runners, a strong military, fully "functioning" laws, citizens, universities, cities. They have dominated the Mojave pretty much have the main areas under control.

Rangers are classic cool. Veterans are even better. Salvaged Power armor from the Brotherhood of Steel, get some? I love the old military uniforms they wear, and how they can send battalions of troops that just wreck [censored] up haha. Boulder City was a interesting tactic, kind of shows they mean business. They own four states! I see nothing stopping this faction from pure domination.

Well they needed to bring that lore into the game for me to see but a few men. All I saw were scrubs..............Bad people can win and I ll have no problem with it,but cl was too weak overall in game to make me believe they even had a chance. I m serious I just wanted to deliver packages let House and NCR alone.

Plus NCR already beat them once in a lore/canon battle. Once the desert vet rangers got there and the heavies with belt and spool fed weapons showed up it was a no brainer.

You can t run men at machine guns, and snipers while bottle necked on a dam.

I ll retire. Get a better in game bad guy

Rook, you can't take Gameplay Veterans into terms of lore Legion, the NCR Ranger Veterans, unfairly, have a hidden perk that naturally makes them tougher to kill, while ignoring the Centurions, who, if their name hasnt given it up, have to kill 100+ men to earn their name. I'd be more afraid of a guy who's killed Brotherhood, NCR, and God knows what else, than some monkey in a fancy night vision helmet.
