House

My own custom edited Castle Hestatur(I've quadrupled the landmass, adding a small forest with various forest animals, a small farm with a few farmers gathering grain, a couple of small mining deposits in a small pit with miners picking away, a ship off of the dock that can transport you to Dagonfel, Kuul and Ravenrock, much darker interior lights, Illuminated windows on the exterior, and a small fishing dock with fisherman behind the castle and past the farm, the castle starts out locked, with a Deed holder outside willing to sell you the deed and provide you with a key for the paultry sum of 5 million gold..............as well as a second mod that adds animated grass to the landmass).

Companion

Either Julan, or possibly my edited "A Lords Men" where I've added about 60 new guards all with unique names that can be hired, as well as having named all of the trainers and used various clothing and armor mods to outfit each one individually, as well as added dialogue for the highering of the new guards and a few added bits to allow my the new "hero" ranked guards that I made to be followed by the nameless guards that are hired.....I may not release anything since everything I mod is basically edited bits of other peoples work, but I do like playing around in the CS! :user: :hehe:

House: Anything by http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27167 (all her work is just gorgeous), Nicholiathan's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=5474 (great features: library, alchemy lab, soul gem crafting, training facility, all of it with a storyline), Princess Stomper's houses (simple and elegant) as well as http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=User.EntriesListing&id=445710's houses (simple and realistic, great for RP).

I've been trying to add my favourite elements from these mods in my http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1068023-wip-pegasus-estate-second-thread/page__hl__pegasus%20estate (the eye-candy, the features and the practicality) but it's hard and it takes forever!

Companions: The classics: Kateri's http://lovkullen.net/Emma/Kateri.htm and Emma and Grumpy's http://lovkullen.net/Emma/Constance.htm but also Jac's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6855, who's got just as much to offer as the other 2) and Armand Jastal from the http://princessstomper.wordpress.com/2009/02/23/dance-of-the-three-legged-guar/ mod (Princess Stomper and Kateri) and Melian's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=6969 (Perfect for my bard who cannot fight and runs around relying on her many Companions to do the killing). Like I said, the classics. Oops, almost forgot http://lovkullen.net/Emma/wolf.htm, best wolf friend ever!
I've also used http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=3236 for a long time until I decided I wanted my employees to do more than stand in whaterver room I leave then, so I make http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7502 that offers pretty much the same employees but with services to offer and with mini-quests to hire them and to improve said services (Pegasus Estate will have the same staff, with more quests and sevices and dialogues to give them a bit of personality).

While not too exclusive, I love my manor mod, which has portals to each GOTY city, to allow player with a companion to move quickly between cities. :)

I'm quite partial to my house mod, Nerethi Manor when I'm playing a Redoran character. Telvanni, its Tel Uvirith with Uvirith's Legacy. And Hlaalu, well I don't have anything for Hlaalu :P My Hlaalu character is a Royal Guard too so he lives in the Royal Pavilion from Mournhold Expanded.

Companion is Julan. He's a pretty cool guy.

ill also have to agree with Danae about anything by Korana. i think i have all but 2 of her many houses installed in my game. for un decorated homes that i can furnish my self i tend to go with houses for sale which can be found here. http://home.earthlink.net/~andoreth/ this page also includes real furniture you can use to decorate them with. but i use every thing on this particular web page. as for companions i like using emma's http://lovkullen.net/Emma/quests.htm laura craft though she has several to choose from. i also use the cats and dogs. children of morrowind and her mod Your Morrowind Family a com add on. all also found on the same site as her companions. laura craft comes with a few face choices. thuogh you can always change face and hair to your liking to any companion mod with a bit of CS editing.

there are really soooo many houses and companions out there to choose from. it all depends on what you like your homes to have and what features you like in a companion.

If you're looking for something really fancy, you might like my http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1068023-wip-pegasus-estate-second-thread/ (loads of rooms and quite a few features). It's in the beta test stage simply because the quests are not there yet but the house itself is complete and has been thoroughly tested. DL link in my sig, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Js7qumYZkjw&feature=PlayList&p=AD176B9E066FB72F&index=0&playnext=1 here if you quickly want to get an idea of want the house looks like.

for companion mods, i really like constance. like the random trouble she got me into.... i mean really, i'm casually walking around balmora one day when all of a sudden she just hands me a ridiculous amount of kwama eggs out of nowhere... that was seriously one of my favorite moments in any es game.... well worth the trouble with the guards from it.

i've only recently tried out julan for the first time but so far, it looks like he might have some of that kind of randomness as well plus he's got some of the features that i really liked from jasmine like being so compatible with improved teleportation, for example. the only thing i wasn't too fond of yet was the integration with the main quest. i just don't always like going into it on every game and so far it seems to be that's the only way to really unlock his backstory and whathave you.

as for housing, homes to let was really good, but i still find it's best to either just make my own or modify other mods to suit my own personal needs.

While I wouldn't mind sharing, I'm afraid that it wouldn't be possible for me to do so without also sharing half of my mod list, since I used resources from about 120 different mods to perform my terraforming and and whatnot, but Castle Hestatur is about as good a castle mod as there is, Also, you can try Castle Vianden from PES, its a fantastic mod itself, and it has a nice wide and pretty open own courtyard, and it is just outside of Sadrith mora so doesn't need travel services added to it since there is wolverine hall for mages guild travel and the boat at the docks in the town.....I used to use Castle Vianden exclusively as my home in fact, untill I figured out how to edit things in the CS and found that the location of Castle Hestatur was perfect for adding whatever I wanted to it, both are great mods however, and I would highly recommend either one! Castle Vianden is more realistic(makes sense, its modeled after a real castle), Castle Hestatur is in a better location for adding onto while still avoiding conflicts though.
