Favourite NPC

Im not usually into these random discussion topics, but im curious as to which NPC's you guys really like. Maybe you love to hate Fargoth. Maybe you like dropping by to say hurrow to dear old Divyath Fyr every now and then. Tell us about it. Try and explain why as well. Make it more interesting.

Naturally i'll start: :D

Morrowind was my first game in the ES series. I came into this world nowing absolutely nothing about the history, the game, or anything else. So, all those years ago, when i first bought it and started running around Vvardenfell trying to figure out what to do, i ended up in Gnaar Mok. There i saw this cool manor place so i decided to investigate. Outside, on the balcony was http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Andilo_Thelas. This dunmer woman turned out to be a savant and boy did she know alot. I remember spending a while in deep conversation with her, as she told me EVERYTHING. So i can attribute my kick start into the lore and background of the entire series with her.

Very appreciative. Every game i usually end up in Gnaar Mok, and i like to drop by and tip her a nice 1000 check for her services ;)

Good times

There are so many that it's to choose just one.
My very first char was a "Make Love Not War" Bosmer hippy who was sickened by all the bloodshed. She found a great deal of serenity with Nibani Maesa, the Urshilaku wise woman. She retired to become Nibani's apprentice.
When I'm feeling kinky I love Uncle Crassy.
I'm always upset when Caius Cosades leaves. He's the rock all my chars build on.
If Caius is a rock Mehra Milo is the beginning of wisdom IMHO.
...and there are so many more.
EDIT: Balyn Omavel How could I leave him out? He's a Morag Tong assassin in Balmora who told my first char,"Never take a life carelessly. It cheapens you and diminishes you. Take life seriously if taking life is your profession." Words to live by for all my chars.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Yagrum_Bagarn - After hearing so much about the Dwemer and exsploring their ruins, actually meeting the last one was a real highpoint of the game for me.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Divayth_Fyr - There’s not much to hate about a 4000 year old wizard who takes care of and trys to treat deformed monsters and invites thieves to try to steal his stuff for the sport of it.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Vistha-Kai

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Sul-Matuul

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Jobasha

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Ahnassi

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Huleeya

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Vivec_(god) - Meeting a Living-God was pretty neat.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Aryon - He was very helpful and the only reasonable Telvanni councilor

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Therana - completely nuts but in a fun way :D

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Bloodmoon:Uncle_Sweetshare - he was....memorable

Though they're not part of the official game, here are some characters I like from the Tamreil Rebuilt mod:

So many actually.

Divayth Fyr.
Mistress Therana
Nels Llendo
Vivec
Almalexia
Caius
Bolvyn Venim
Boss Crito (my first "boss" fight. :hehe:)
Dancers at the House of Earthly Delights (not sure why it wasn't "Nirn" delights, but whatever )
Jiub
Various bewitched and naked Nords.

I need to stop now. Can't see the list ending before 100.

I like Kaye, I'll be like level 40 and he worries about sending me after Thelsa Dral. He also has a sixy voice and gives me worthless gifts like they were epic. Altogether a cool NPC

I don't know if he counts seeing as you never get to meet him, but http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Tarhiel sure is my favorite. I mean, he introduced me to the Colovian Hat. One the greatest bits of head wear in the game.

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Yagrum_Bagarn, the last of the Dwemer. Yeah. Kind of a big deal.

Some excellent choices above. I particularly like:

Ahnassi. Made me come back and play a Khajiit character once JUST for her :D. not a fan of beasts otherwise.
Jiub. The primogenic best friend. Lost to the sands of time ever after :(
Jobasha. Ahhh not sure how he became so important to everything, but hey. One hell of an important cat right there.

I'd also like to add http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Morrowind:Seanwen, the Altmer heavy armor trainer in Vivec Arena. That guy has made millions off me across the years training me up. As well as being
Spoiler
a Master Trainer for heavy armor
, he's also pretty handy for longblade and blunt. I dont use any other trainer for those skills.

I often like to pay Mara a visit :celebration:

Ah, Jiub. How could I forget him? The only character who has made me consider playing a Dunmer.

When I get back on PC and find a nice house mod, I think I'll bring him back as a housemate.

I know this must sound odd, but Dalyne Arvel in the Telvanni Council House entry is my favorite NPC. She was always there when i did those Telvanni chores and I always stopped for a chat before setting out on another epic adventure to buy some sload soap or something. If i could actually choose who would be my mouth i would pick her.

Mehra Milo, because she fills you in about the dissidend priests and you have to rescue her.

I always like the blades trainers in Caldera and Ald-ruhn too.

I like Ra'Viir. When I first started playing the game back in 2002 he sold me my first enchanted blade.

Mehra Milo - I feel like she's about the only member of the temple who's completely sane. A lot of others are almost normal but not quite as normal as Mehra.
Sugar-lips Habasi - My first extensive encounter with a khajiit. She just struck me as awsome.

Jobasha. He works for the abolishment of slavery, has whatever book you're looking for and has the game's best pot plant. Plus I love all Khajiit.

Off the top of my head, I'll have to agree with a few other people and say Jiub. Everytime I make a new character I feel almost welcomed into this strange land by such a familiar voice.
