What type of character would you prefer to play?

A character who is not the "chosen one".

The average Joe not mentioned anywhere. I don't mind him getting special powers along the way, but I prefer getting those powers on my own instead of being chosen and getting all the powers for free.

I voted for "Average Joe not mentioned in prophesy." I hate prophesies in fiction. I hate "Chosen One" plots. I don't want my character to appear in Emperor's dreams and I don't want supernatural beings to appear in my characters' dreams and I don't want a bunch of decrepit white men telling my character who she is. I want to be in control of who my character is and why she is that way.
