Favourite summon

Post » Sun Aug 08, 2010 3:00 pm

Inspired by another thread I came up with this 'Favourite' poll, my first for 2011.

I realise there are different types of skeletons, zombies and so on, but if you wish you can always specify exactly what you like to summon in the heat of battle.
I chose not to include unique scrolls, special tomes or Greater Powers, only regular summons that can be bought in Cyrodiil or Shivering Isles.

I generally prefer wraiths as they are immune to normal weapons. They are also stronger than ghosts and therefore my summon of choice.

So, what say you?

Spider Daedra. They're just cool, I don't know what it is about them. :D And useful, too.

Summons are all fairly good, my favourite being that heavy-breathing prankster, the Xivilai. One thing I haven't discovered yet concerns the ritual and incantations of Dremora summons.

If I buy a "Summon Dremora" spell, does the Dremora depend upon my level or I would still need to buy a specific spell to summon, say, a Valkynaz Prince of the Calyph?

I like Dremora Lords, because it feels as if they are my personal servant as well as bodyguard.

clanfears, they're powerful and good for taking down mages, and they also last long enough to actually attack something. Liches don't seem to do anything but float on their ass while i get attacked

Liches or Dremora/Dremora Lords.

Liches have always been fascinating to me. Becoming undead but keeping your mind and will yet not being a blood thirsty vampire. They are especially awesome in Oblivion. Can't wait to see how they look in Skyrim. Being able to summon a Lich to fight for you is awesome. I always think they might turn on me at any second though. It'd be nice if certain monsters like Liches and Spider Daedra would turn on their summoners after killing their primary target.

Dremora are my favorite daedric monsters. In addition to looking exceptionally badass, they talk and have a great sense of honor. I always feel cool being able to summon one to fight in my service.

It really depends on the situation.

But if I had to pick just one, it would probably be Clannfear. Very fast and very aggressive.

And they are cute too. After they eviscerate my enemies they run back and act like they want my character to pet them. Very cute and lovable for a demonic monster.

Frost Atronach, they look so cool, ...

It's hard to disagree with Frost Atronachs being cool. Very cool indeed.

Clannfear. Simple and effective.

Flame Atronach is also fun to use against vampires.

You can only buy Summon Dremora or Dremora Lord. They don′t change as you level up but you need to be Journeyman or Master in Conjuration respectively

On note; unsurprisingly Clannfear is at the top :)

Heh, yeah they are effective and all, but Lothran and I really like to watch those goblins struggle with their weapons and hit nothing but air

Another fun summoning thing to do: when a Warlord comes running at my character thinking he (or she) is so tough with a huge Ebony or Glass warhammer, I like to summon a Faded or Gloom Wraith. Then watch the Warlord attack with no affect while being ripped to shreds.

Not the most powerful of summons, but I like the idea of having skeletons do my bidding. If only there was a way to summon a bunch of them at once. Having an army of skeletons would be BA!

Veronica prefeer her Dark Lich Summon wich helps her in the hardest moments specialy in Ayleid Ruins.
Also she loves her Dark Seducer and Golden Saint summons, the golden saint can resist 120 secons when once summoned, unfortunatly the Dark Seducer summon only resist 60 seconds.

Yes, the idea of this poll was not to dig out what creature that can be summoned you think is the most powerful one, but rather which one appeals most to you.

Skeletons are classic, good choice :tops:
