Favourite thing about Skyrim?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 8:26 pm

Using only released (and confirmed) information on Skyrim, tell us what your favourite innovation to the game is so far!

I have two favourites. 1) Better AI system. I mean, this is gonna make post-main quest playing waaaay more fun (and easier to RP, and more immersive, etc. etc.) 2) Better face/body animations and graphics. Now I won't be turning away in horror when I see those giant ugly bugs that seem to be on everybodies faces... wait... I think those WERE their faces! :P Also, this will allow me to use 3rd person camera angles while walking, without looking like I'm trying to be a runway moddel.

Ok, now that I think about it, the new engine probably takes the top of my list. :P

Lol, my list is getting more crowded by the minute. :P

But, after FURTHER thought, that'd hit the top of my list, new list as follows:

1)Exploring a new world
2)Creation engine
3)Better AI system
4)Better facial graphics/animations

And they ARE in a particular order. :D

What about exploring a whole new world?

That's my favorite thing too, i cant wait to cross/scale every tundra, pine forest, mountain in skyrim. The graphics look amazing and one of my favorite things about the game is the amazing scenery i saw.

1) Nords.
2) Mead.
3) Mead halls.
4) Cooking, which means tasty roasted meat.
5) Snow and cold.
6) Lots of combat and adventures.

Is there anything better than that? (what can I say, I'm half-Nord :) ).

Haha I like that list and the order as well! If we have plentiful and diverse voice actors that will be high on my list too.

You have to "wield" (or duelwield) spells. Like in Bioshock 2. :toughninja:

Without exception the new engine, and mainly, the NEW LIGHTING! Yay for no more lack of ray casting or dynamic shadows or anything that 99% games for the last 10 years have had! Wooot!

I'll wait until I see it, and can see what features are "as described" and what features pull an "Oblivion's Radiant AI" on us, before I decide on any favorites beyond "New TES game/land/setting."

The new engine, radiant AI, and the whole random encounters/game collects information about the way you play thing.

Magic for me too. No longer just glorified arrows for attack spells.

The new engine and dual wielding without a doubt. Going to make assassin/thief characters far more fun to play.

Take a look at the engine again. It's no where near new.
