Favourite Unique Weapon?

I love being a sniper so it's the Gobi SR for me! If you talk to enough NCR people and read notes the sniper location will be marked on your map.

I like the sound of the Rat Slayer for a lower damage version of a sniper rifle and the fact that that ammo is plentiful and it's easy to repair - 2 negatives of the GSR but I haven't got it yet.

It's great taking out 5-6 gang members from afar and watching them run around in cricles trying to work our where the shots are coming from - nice.

Finally for close up inside work I use lucky! For my character that's a 70% chance of criticals in VAT and like someone said not much can take a bunch of headshots. I now know where THe Chopper is and I've missed it on 2 occasions -shame on me - I need a 'highlight every item' button!

1.This Machine
2.That Gun
3.Lucky
4.Ratslayer
5.Gobi

Gobi is lower because as awesome as it is against DeathClaw, it isn't exactly bread and butter.
Ratslayer have all the upgrade you need for a Varmint and great against weaker enemies (aka Human)
I got Lucky very early, the only downside is that it inherent the .375 revolver bug.
That Gun is great as 5.56 is very common, and you can make tons of them by breaking 5mm. My 1st choice for Vault exploring.
The M1 is just a awesome well rounder, I thinking about Hand Loader just for the 1.5xdmg rounds.

Melee' - The Liberator. It's the only unique melee weapon I have anyway.
Mysterious Magnum and All-American for guns.

"Oh, baby!" - a unique super-sledge, I wouldn't be surprised if its the hardest hitting melee weapon in the game.
Chainsaw (not sure if its unique, but I found only one) - for the simple fact that it does damage as long as you maintain contact.

Just found Chopper (gave to Boone for close quarters weapon)
I have That Gun but have not used it. Cannot wait to have a high enough lock pick stat to get the GSR. I have a Varmit Rifle fully loaded is Ratslayer better?

With my current Energy Weapons toon my fav is the AER. I'm patiently waiting for a high enough lockpick skill for the Q-35, I'll probably have it tonight.

I've already found many of them but I think the best are:

Melee: Oh, baby! <-- Super Sledge (52dmg/87dps)
Range: Q-35 Matter Modulator <-- Prototype of a Plasma Rifle (32dmg/105dps)
Range: Euclid's C-Finder <-- Ultimate war machine powered by Helios One. It shoots a beacon for the Archimedes II orbital laser. Shame that it can fire only once a day and can't fire at night.

Yeah I really like this one too. lol My game has a bug and it and somehow I was able to buy it off of Max twice. I'm thinking about doing the Helios quest tonight and seeing if I can fire it twice.

Maria is my favorite looking. Wish I could dress her up with a scope. But I probably use All-American and Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle the most.

No other melee beats the Knock Knock in DPS, and the base damage is only slightly worse than the Oh, Baby! super sledge.

But my favorites really are Love and Hate (Spiked Knuckles), YCS/186 (Gauss Rifle), La Longue Carabine (Cowboy Repeater), Ranger Sequoia (.45-70 Gov't Magnum).

Gobi Sniper Rifle and the Multiplas rifle. I haven't tried the Multiplas on Deathclaws yet but it vaporizes Radscorps in 1 shot...

YCS/186 makes me so glad I rolled EW. Takes out deathclaws in 1-3 shots.
Chance's Knife with loaded melee perks cues up the song "can't touch this".
Oh, Baby! hits like a truck.
Pew Pew is great for closer quarter combat.
Ratslayer at lower level is simply great and pure fun. Sneak sniping and critting roaming critters of the waste can't get any better.
Tesla Beaton Prototype, well makes the game almost unfun.
Maria is a great and useful pistol.
Weathered 10mm carried me through the lower level content.
Using Alien Blasters in FO series I consider border-lining cheating.
Gobi Campaign Scout Rifle... well it requires 100 lockpick, and usually by then I can get my hands on Anti-Material.
Should I wish there was an unique Anti-Material?
Q-35 Matter Modulator... well I feel Plasma Riffles really got hit hard in terms of nerf this installation. The AP costs for VATS is eek. Multiplas Rifle out performs.
AER14 Prototype is a solid early-mid level content EW. Can find tons of Laser Rifles to repair it and doesn't consume too much ammo while dealing solid damage.
Blade of the East... come on guys. This weapon shows up way too late in the game. It's doesn't leave that great of an impression either even if you did use it.
Chain Saw, haven't used it actually. Last couple runs I been letting Motor-Runner live.
Nephi's Golf Driver is aight. But how am I doing damage to guys in Power Armor with a golf club?

Where do you get the M1 Garande, also the Wacky Wastelander perk.... I am level 20, is the wacky wasteland one of the perks in the very begining, with a "Downfall too"; if it is what is the downfall?

The Weapon is a Reward for "Dealing with Contreras" quest in Camp McCarren(sp). You start it by talking to Contreras in the back of the Terminal Building.

The down side to Wacky Wasteland, is the encounter you get a truly strange and doesn't fit in a serious game setting. Things like Dead Indiana Jones, Starwars Referrence.

Personally I like it, that hows how Fallout has always been.
