I want you to take a second and look over all of the screenshots you have seen of our main character. Done? What did you notice? I'll tell you what I noticed:

They are all male Nords. I realize that Nords are this games focus, as Dunmer were for Morrowind and Imperials were for Oblivion, but really? You can't even add a screenshot of a female Dovahkiin?

I'd like to see pics of the dovahkiin as various races and genders, agreed?

i'd rather every screenshot be of a male nord.

in fact i'd rather they remove every other race and gender from the game except for male nords.

even the monsters. everybody should be a male nord.

then remove the clothing and ONLY THEN will the game be good.

The character they show us is just the one their using for the in game videos and screenshots. It's probably one of the devs characters. They aren't being racist or sixist, there just using the same character for simplicity.

Every TES has their mascot. Besides, they clearly don't want us to see any of the other races yet. Maybe they're still working on them.

I realize that, I didn't mean to imply that they were being racist or sixist at all, I just thought it'd be cool to see what other races and genders looked like as the Dovahkiin.

we saw dudes in the trailer who looked more like Imperials or Bretons, so.

we'll see what the races look like eventually. they've said as much. just not right now.

And the NPC's for Oblivion were featured as Imperials, and Morrowind likewise had Dark Elves in its artwork. It's not favoritism, but simply the featured race of the region where they would logically be the dominant demographic.

I personally prefer them using the same character in trailers, like how the have the default John Shepard for Mass Effect.

I think there going to surprise us with how the other races look. They said there changing a lot of them, and they want us to be surprised by the change. I personally can't wait to see what a Dark Elf looks like now, because they looked [censored] [censored] in OB.

All I'm waiting for are some Argonian screens.

I won't even buy or play the game after I see them. Just seeing some pictures of Argonians in Skyrim will satisfy my Elder Scrolls needs.

They might not have added the finishing touches to the other races/genders or their armour yet, and have just focused on the male Nord for screenshots/trailers.

Besides, Nords are sixy awesome. I don't see the problem.

I think you just need to ask yourself one simple question.

How do you feel about frontal Argonian nudity?

They use don't use it because it's just 'one of the devs characters'.

No. The design was a collaborated effort. Not to mention it's canon. A Dark Elf for Morrowind, an Imperial for Oblivion (Cyrodiil), and a Nord for Skyrim. They also do it because if the Dovahkiin was a different person in every video/picture, it would break preset immersion into the game. It points too obviously as being a choice to the player. There is only one Dovahkiin per 'universe', if you will. And as I said before, what would we have to look forward to if they released screens of every race in the game? Not nearly as much.

it depends on whether or not Argonians actually have briasts again. in Morrowind full frontal Argonian action was great because there were no external dangly bits at all. in Oblivion everyone magically had [censored] and it was kind of weird.

maybe in Morrowind Argonian/Khajiit slaves get castrated and have mastectomies or something.

They don't want us to see the other races yet and they will probably keep it secret for awhile. If we are lucky, they will shows us the other races before E3 but I highly doubt it.
