Fawkes Phsycotic mass murderer? : Fallout 3

I've recently gone back to playing Fallout 3, because I can't stand NV's copy and paste feel. I aquired Fawkes, and this time round somethin' strange is' gon on.
Seems if I stay in a public place too long, Fawkes will attack people for no reason. Is he Losing it, lost it, or just buggy?

Its a bug, my friend encountered it and decided to get every non-esentia; character in all of F3 killed.

Ive never encountered that bug, odd. I have had the opposite though, some random person coming up to Fawkes but he would run away o.O

Haha, oh well. Still kind of awkward having a drink with Gob, then suddenly Fawkes pulls out his Gatling gun and kills everybody.
