I've been having problems with Fawkes lately, ever since the Broken Steel quests began.

The problem is he refuses to fight, all he does is run around screaming "retreat".

Has anyone had this problem before? If so how did you fix it?

Also does this happen to other followers too? I'm thinking about firing him and hiring old trusty Charon.

Edit: I've fired Charon, but all he does is just stand there. He doesn't go to the Museum of History.

i did have this problem at one time, it was because when i beat the vanilla game i had a follower with me, and for some reason with it being there it pretty much bugged out the followers i had from then on out. im guessing the reason why mine always retreated and wouldnt fight was bc i sacrifised myself at end of the game and then the foloowers preceived me to be dead hence always retreating i dunno..
