Have ANYONE killed fawkes at level 30 without a fatman? Is it possible to even kill Fawkes with a fatman at level 30? :stare:

Second question. For all you ps3 users how do i get rid of the goty edition on my ps3.

I don't think it's possible to have the patience to kill Fawkes. Doesn't he have something like 500,00 HP at level 30? It's the same with Dogmeat and Charon.

I really think having Fawkes is boring as you simply cannot die in combat with him by your side. Even before the BS glitch he was overpowered...

I was so close to kill him. ARGH!

It took nearly 2000 vengeance rounds at point blank range to kill Dogmeat with a big guns skill of 100. Fawkes I believe is unkillable without cheating

im hoping your system has similar stuff to a 360

if it exist find the memory tab in the console options look for the data for fallout 3 and delete it to get it back reinstall it from a GOTY disc .. or get it back by downloading it from an online marketplace ?

On PC it's pretty easy to kill him. All I have to do is whip out my M2 Browning and spam bullets at his head while yelling out Heavy Weapons Guy quotes. Bam he's down.


On all systems I think you could goad him into attacking Liberty Prime. I've had him randomly attack Prime on his own, but if you do enough 'damage' to Prime he will turn Hostile and Fawkes should attack. Three laser hits should gib Fawkes nicely. Do be warned, though: They gib you too.

I don't know what your doing with Fawkes, but at level 20, he pissed liberty prime off, and fawkes got hit multiple times with those lasers, and well I can say, trying to beat the story mode for the first time, and waiting for Fawkes to die by liberty prime took FOREVER.

I reverse pickpocketed a land mine onto him at level 30.

It killed him dead.

never tried killing him and why would you want to delete GOTY edition?

Becouse it's buggy on the ps3... Freesing, lagging, I'M TIRED OF IT. :banghead:

I like Fawkes too much to kill him on purpose, but I had him die once at a relatively low level (15 or so) in "Reilly's Rangers". I lost him going into the hotel, didn't have him with me all through the quest, and when I reached the roof, I was informed that he had died. Felt lousy, but I hadn't saved in hours, so I couldn't really go back.

Other ways to do away with him include reverse pickpocketing high explosives, or just terminating him in V87.

If I wish to kill Fawkes for some reason, I just gas him in his holding cell. Quick and painless.

If you REALLY want to delete it. Go to Game data folder or something like that. then go to delete. Simple

I'm working to get my character to good so I can get fawkes...liberty prime is going to the Jefferson Memorial and everytime I'm at the mall Lyons Pride ALMOST ALWAYS SHOWS UP AND SAYS WE HAVE TO GET TO THE PURIFIER. She annoys me...

You'd have to buy the vanilla if you have the GOTY edition. In terms of freezing/frame rate issue. There is a fix that is on gamefaqs but I will sum it up for you.

You will notice that the GOTY edition does not have the usual install when you first put it in. The reason for this is that it does it slowly in the background whilst playing. To remedy the freezing/frame rate issue just pause the game for about 30 minutes then you shoudn't have more problems except for the usual freeze up and bugs. You should do this whilst you are in the wasteland area and you will only need to do this once.

To know that it is installing you can hear the different tone to your PS3 (fat or slim) also the orange light will be on.

I had given up hope of my GOTY when I first got it but this really does work and it plays fine.

There's this parking lot filled with cars somewhere in the south of the map, so I told him to wait there, surrounded him with every explosive device I own, and shot him point blank in the face with the fat-man that shoots 8 nukes at a time, twice, in the face, he was still at like half health and I got him down to a quarter before I ran out of bullets ( or broke) every weapon I had so I tried to finish him off with my fists and ran out of stimpaks and died, this took almost an hour (BTW I was lvl 30 and playing on very hard difficulty)

Experimental MIRV kills him easily, on xbox 360. Otherwise a behemoth can kill him in one or two hits.

where is that weapon i never seem to find it.
