1. The latest version of Warcry was fixed so that you can now select Warcry under "Import Actors: Death Items".

2. I would say that you haven't ruined the install order. The data files in a BSA can't overwrite other BSAs (if they did, install order would be the least of your problems). The only conflict that can occur is between a BSA and loose files in the Data folder but I don't think a standard FCOM installation installs any loose files that overwrite the contents of the Frans BSA (then again, maybe OOO does so?).

OK 2 quick questions :)

1.
From the "Quick Bash Check Guide for Wrye Bash 287" in opening post:

Is this a typo or is it a new change that is to be followed?

Yes, it can/should be checked when using Oblivion WarCry EV 1.09. The FCOM release thread has the most up to date info so rely on it rather than other guides for particular info.

2.
From opening post:
For compatibility reasons with the MMM BSA it's now important in which order some mods are installed.
Ok so I installed the mods in the "recommended order", meaning I did Francesco's right after the UOPs. Then I continued on the suggested order and installed the rest of FCOM. So far so good. However, oddly, when i was done, with the default FraNewItems.bsa, I recieved a crash at cell 26 in "300_test.esp", and what I did to solve this situation was to replace FraNewItems.bsa with the Optimized Version linked in this opening post. I renamed it properly and everything, and now my game is not crashing at cell 26 anymore.

That is all fine and dandy, and I should be celebrating, but just now I was thinking; did I screw up the "installation order" by doing this?

I mean, in theory, if the "recommended install order" is referring also to resources in BSA's, then I just installed Francescos last by replacing the file.

So, before I actually start to play this game, can someone confirm that I have not ruined my installation from doing this?

You should be fine. Thanks for the report. Not using Fran's so I can't check, but perhaps there's a faulty mesh or something in the "old" Fran's bsa. Seems a bit unlikely, though, as it's a very popular mod so it should have been reported long ago.

Hey all, haven't posted anything in awhile becuase by and large all is well. I do however have a couple questions.

1. Is it abnormal to have 6-8 low level dremora spawn at one point? I've had a number instance where I fill like I stumbled upon the water cooler during break time. Likewise, I encountered upon entering a fort a group of 6-8 NPCs immediately rushing to attack other NPCs and myself. I can't really comment on thier levels, though I'm around level 30. I've even had one instance where the bottom floor to one of the Sigil Stone towers, had close to two dozen low level enemies that immediately set upon me killing my framerate.

2. What is the deal with ethereal creatures? Aside from one ethereal rat every ethereal creature I've encountered (mostly beholden IIRC) seem to immediately start expanding in volume and then competely disappear.

Lastly, I've noticed something slightly annoying and perhaps unintended. Legion troops seem a little too eager to fight oneanother. The oddest cases are road soldiers chasing down and killing one of the forresters and his dog for some reason, and just recently two of the patrolling road soldiers ended up in a deathmatch after they presumably hit each other in the process of killing a few mudcrabs near the huge bridge east of the Imperial City. I literally watched them go from killing the mudcrabs to fighting to the death in all of two seconds after hearing them dismount and run into battle. I'm using an install largely the same as that in the quick guide in the first post. Could this be related to not using the optional plugin that makes fights between factions less likely?

I figured I'd check on these, as they seem a tad odd.

Arkngt, I'm glad to see you are still around and helping FCOM to remain active. In the next couple weeks, I hope to return to the game along with the forums and you know FCOM will be part of my new install.

I've also wondered about the Dremora spawns. I'm using FCOM_SpawnRatesStronger.esp which reduces the spawns slightly and it works fine except that I can get so many Dremoras that my FPS is completely killed. Which means there should be even more if not running a reduced spawn rate esp. I'll check it out.

Guess you mean Entropic Rats? I know about Ethereal Beholdens from MMM, but not sure which others you are referring to. Not sure about the issue either - do they suddenly expand in size until they disappear? Sounds very weird. Anyway, need more details - exactly which creatures?

Might be normal. Soldiers, Adventurers etc. are very sensitive to friendly fire, which is annoying as they tend to start infighting when several are involved in a fight at once. This gets more common with MMM/FCOM because there's more interaction generally. I've been meaning to test out Reneer's Guard Overhaul, which supposedly deals with this issue IIRC - but I haven't gotten around to it.

So might be normal but a bit annoying - unless you're saying that it happens completely unprovoked by previous actions. Post your load order via Wrye Bash - might be that something is up.

For some reason I am missing the icon and mesh for the reinforced chain cuirass armor. Is there a way to find out what I am missing?? Is this caused by Frans,OOO,WC,Loth's or BOB's??

What's the best way to stop wolves from attacking me? I find it rather unimmersive when regular, lone wolves attack an armoured human.
Modify aggressiveness? Or will that make them ignore prey?
Modify their faction modifiers to the Player Faction?

Oh I forgot when I cast any spell near any NPC they see it as a threat even if it was a healing spell!! How is that possible?

j/k. Wrye's site has been down for a while, and he is somewhat disassociated from the stellar application that bears his name. The very capable PacificMorrowind is the central maintainer of the program nowadays. The updated documentation is part of the Wrye Bash download as Mopy/Wrye Bash.html

What myk002 said. Wrye's old site is down and Team FCOM can't access the FCOM Homepage since dev_akm's departure - so we can't update it or fix broken links etc.

My sincere apologies. This report is not true. I took a break from Oblivion after this "finding" and now, after some more testing, it turns out FraNewItems.bsa is not the culprit after all. When i had changed the bsa, I must have gotten lucky becouse I fresh-entered cell26 like 20-25 times in a row without crash, and so I posted my findings here. However, after some recent testing (with no changes made), the problem actually remains. There is no difference. Just seems this spawn that is causing the problem is highly random.

Which makes a whole lot of sense becouse if one looks in the CS at 300_test.esp, there are 9x "LL1UndeadBones100" spawns. And by poking around some in the CS, it seems this particular leveled list cointains *alot* of different spawns.

For further investigation, I just removed the "whole FCOM" (OOO,MMM,Fran,warcry etc) bit by bit, to at least try to find what part of FCOM is causing it, before I do a complete reinstallation.

Turns out, that even if the whole FCOM is gone, and only MMM is installed as a standalone overhaul (added the correct esp, renamed BSA, deleted FCOM/OOO/etc remains, rebuild patch) then it will *still* crash at the same frequency in cell 26. But rest of MMM is working fine. With also standalone MMM gone, thus back to vanilla spawns, I coced to cell26 well over 50 times and ran through Vilverin just fine, so the game seems fine (but oh so empty :P)

Anyway I'm not going to throw blame so carelessly here again, but I seem to have tracked this down to my install of MMM being what is causing this. I will try to test this extensively, but if anyone have any kind of suggestion at this point, it would be very welcome :)

also, if anyone knows how to for example spawn specific creatures one by one from MMM's LL1UndeadBones100 spawns, it would be great becouse it would probably be easy for me to find out which one is causing this then right?

EDIT: since my finding seems to revolve around MMM, i'm posting my findings there instead, as to not bother FCOM people with this :) it clearly has nothing to do with FCOM since I disabled FCOM and it remains still. Delete my posts in this thread if it is neccseary.

Thanks anithinks but for some reason the reinforced chain cuirass armor still does not appear. When I wear it my body disappears. How can I solve this problem??

I recently got around to the Shivering Isles after installing FCOM. And I noticed one missing feature that I thought was pretty neat. The Amber/Madness Items forging overhaul from Francesco's. Since FCOM doesn't allow Fran's leveled quests to be installed, is there an FCOM patch for this feature? Or do most people hate that system?

You're right, I was mixing up the Entropic creatures and the Ethereal Beholden from MMM, I've only ever seen one Entropic enemy, a rat. Is there some kind of information provided in game about the Entropic Order stuff, or do I have to look it up online? That said the Ethereal Beholden are doing the funky expand and disappear thing. They seem to basically stop moving and scale in size about 1.5x to 2x and then disappear, They even seem to disappear when I manage to kill one (rare), though I think thats normal with some enemies (ie sentient gasses) that have no loot associated with them. I suppose it could be a death animation similar to how ghosts have one, though that means they are spontaneously dieing, which itself is an issue.

I'm pretty sure the infighting NPCs was due to friendly fire, it just seems they're tolerance threshold for ff is rather low. Would it be possible to somehow have NPCs from the same faction try to yield if their fighting, or is that simply not possible even with OBSE?

Also, does anyone know which mod adds the White Dragon Iron Shield. Apparently, I am missing a mesh. http://i53.tinypic.com/2u7pqqe.jpg

Edit: Weird. Looks like it's from Frans -- I fixed it. Stupid me.

Umm.........Where do composite greaves and the reinforced chain cuirass? Also are there BSA's for the other modules like Loth's?

Looks fine AFAICT. Not sure about the possible issue with Ethereal Beholdens as I'm using the No Beholden esp. There are no ingame info on the Entropic order. When meeting certain criteria (level, how far in the MQ) they have a chance of spawning.
