Hey all, I would really appreciate any help you can send over my way.

I really made sure to follow the installation instructions in this thread as close to the letter as possible. I followed only what was stated in the first post, unless a particular step needed clarification elsewhere. The good news is that the installation seems to largely work fine. However, I'm using the 300Test module to make sure every cell will be able to load properly and a few are giving me CTDs consistently. Specifically, Cell04 (I think these are goblins?), Cell08 and Cell29 to name a few make the game crash to the desktop immediately before it even gets a chance to start loading. How can I get to the root of the problem? Here's my obligatory load order:

Warcry can be used standalone does not need anyother mod to work with it. If going to use with FCOM then you have to use http://www.4shared.com/file/REdXF9Ks/FCOM_WarCry109.html

Warcry EV 1.09 Version is not backward compatible with older version of FCOM and FCOM_Warcry. Because we intergrated alot of features from FCOM_Warcry itself. Scripts Fixes in particular those went into 1.09 version.

So why, pray tell, doesn't it say this somewhere? Like, oh say, in the readme? Cause, you know, that's kind of important to know if you're not using FCOM 0.9.9, don't you think?

Your load order seems fine, so double check that you have the needed bsa's and, if so, that you get them loading, e.g. that MMM.bsa is renamed FCOM_Convergence_MartsMonsterMod.bsa and that you're following the instructions to get Fran's bsa loaded as well.

Not connected to this issue but:

09 Oblivion Citadel Door Fix.esp - You probably don't need this.

26 OMOBS.esp [Version 1.0] - Import Stats into the Bashed patch and keep unchecked.
27 OMOBS_SI.esp [Version 1.0] - As above.
28 OMOBS Optional Combat Settings.esp [Version 1.0] - Skip. You already have the settings via FCOM.

There's no need to be sarcastic over a detail apparently missing in the documentation, is it? :rolleyes:

It would be more useful/helpful if you formulated exactly what you think should be added. If I understand you correctly, you want the Oblivion WarCry EV.esp 1.09 Update readme to say something like: "The Oblivion WarCry EV.esp 1.09 Update is not compatible with pre-0.9.9 releases of FCOM."?

Thanks for your help Arkngt. The BSA's were already renamed properly through the OMOD script. I rebuilt the Bashed Patch with your suggestions (just in case) and disabled the mods in question (just in case!) and the game still crashes as soon as it's done loading 300TestCell04, 08, 09, 11, 14, and I'm sure many more. What else can I try? I feel so close!

And yes, this was a clean install of Oblivion through Steam, and I only installed what was mentioned in the first post of this thread and related documentation. I even made numbered folders so I wouldn't lose track of my step :)

I'm sort of out of ideas. I've never used 300 Test so not much help on specifics with that. What happens if you start a new game?

I started a new game and fast traveled to Skingrad and started walking towards the Derelict Mine (since I know this has goblins just like TestCell04). The game CTDs consistently as soon as I get near the place (I think there are goblin spawns on the exterior). Gah!

edit: I rebuilt the patch, this time including OOO in relations and factions and the Derelict Mine worked just fine! I got to see my first goblin. However, some problems persist, and new missing mesh showed up in the 300TestModule so I'm not jumping up for joy just yet.

Check the missing mesh with http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16704 or RefScope to see which mod it comes from.

Alright, I'm not sure exactly what happened, but everything works perfectly now.

I was just about to give up when I figured I might as well de/reactivate all the mods in OBMM. I think what happened before was when putting together the OMOD for OWC, I mistakenly included two instances of the ESP. I noticed this when I went and tried to install FCOM through the omod and it told me warcry was missing. Something must've screwed up then, because everything is hunky dory now. All the test cells are working properly. Thanks for your assistance Arkngt.

hey! last touch with FCOM were about year ago and it was 0.99
in this year i managed to install Oblivion on new system, and helping myself i created some bain packages to install parts of fcom
note that some packages wrere already in bain friendly format but some don't
I'm not familiar with BCF's but i managed to repack them in hand
however i didn't remember well how i installed FCOM an year ago, it looked extremely easy to install fcom by BAIN

some packages i made

UNOFFICIAL PATCHES
contains UOP USIP UOMP and OMOBS1.0 in single bain friendly package

FRAN4.5b BAIN
contains filtered fran esps to only those which UFCOM uses and renamed BSA from first post

COBL1.73Beta
contains COBL1.72 with all updates mentioned to apply on cobl

WARCRY 1.09 BAIN
contain WAR CRY 1.09 esp, FCOM WARCRY 1.09 esp, and properly named BSA from first page

Could i publish these packages, as it will somewhat help others in installing UFCOM?

I also made MMM bain archive but it's half a mess so i won't publish it
OOO1.33 and OOO1.34beta patch was already bain friendly
same for FCOM 0.9.9 and UFCOM patch
:)

EDIT: Am I allowed to publish that? it would be nice helper as it makes less trouble to use, asit have updates merged into package...
Of course the packages should beseparate for separate mods, but as it's separate and includes oryginal readmes, it won't hurt, will it?

I have asked for the files to get removed, if the user does not remove them, I will go to Tesnexus Admins. Has simple has that.

Just consuming server load and bandwidth on tesnexus has file already exist there or on planet elder scrolls. Plus no credit listed at least visible for everything and he did not ask anybody here for sure or any of TEAM members.

No, you're not allowed to upload repackaged versions of the FCOM mods. It's not only a question of permissions, as it also gets confusing with several versions available. Plus they are in the process of getting updates as well. There are several other reasons why this is a bad idea, but it feels a bit Groundhog Day to go over them again as this question pops up now and then. So, in short, thanks for wanting to help out regarding this - but no. :)

So Arkngt, I have to learn BCF thingie, for allowing public bain archives, without republishing original files...
Well, now I'm fine with my archives being private, and so unable to get to persons not beeing my closest friends
I'm too lazy to learn BCF thingie now, as I have realy low impact on Oblivion Mods World
So best I wait for Team FCOM to make official BCF if they would once

Hmm... I can just leave it at hearing "No", at least my voice haven't gone void ;)

Yes. Team Alpha is focusing on the updates of OOO, MMM, UFCOM and Cobl ATM, but it's of course high on the list to make the release packages easy to install when we get to that point.

I'm celebrating because I actually got my new FCOM installation to work! :celebration:
I have to give huge props to the FCOM team as well as the BOSS & Wrye Bash teams, without them I doubt I would have managed. I'm sure I've made mistakes as it was a sharp learning curve. But it works!

Just one small thing. I like MMM's Resized Races, but it seems to not be showing up in-game even though the esp is merged into the Bashed patch. At the moment all NPCs seem to be vanilla sizes.
It is pretty late in my load order (below 6E) so I can't figure out what is over-riding it.

I'm celebrating because I actually got my new FCOM installation to work! :celebration:
I have to give huge props to the FCOM team as well as the BOSS & Wrye Bash teams, without them I doubt I would have managed. I'm sure I've made mistakes as it was a sharp learning curve. But it works!

Just one small thing. I like MMM's Resized Races, but it seems to not be showing up in-game even though the esp is merged into the Bashed patch. At the moment all NPCs seem to be vanilla sizes.
It is pretty late in my load order (below 6E) so I can't figure out what is over-riding it.

Not sure as I'm not using either, but Resized Races shouldn't be used with Beautiful People, so that might be it perhaps?:

* If you use Beautiful People or any other mod based on Elaborate Eyes, don't use the Races Resized optional plugin.


I'd recommend skipping BP anyway as it's incompatible with a lot of race mods etc.

I removed that esp & re-bashed the patch, but it hasn't made any difference.
It's not that big a deal. It's just that I play a Nord, and its nice to not always be the tallest in the room (except for those snooty Altmer, of course!).

Some notes on your load order:

22 UOP Vampire Aging & Face Fix.esp [Version 1.0.0] - Use the Bashed Patch tweak instead and save a slot.

24 NaturalWeather.esp - Might want to use All Natural instead. Natural Weather has some issues. Also, with All Natural you can use Immersive Interiors.

26 IWR - Windows Lights Shutters - Optimised.esp - I'd recommend AWLS instead. Less performance hit plus it's still updated.

++ EVE_StockEquipmentReplacer.esp - Only use EVE_StockEquipmentReplacer4FCOM.esp, but install the resources for the others.

++ OOO-Container_Trap_Instant_Effects.esp [Version 1.33] - Not needed.

++ ArmamentariumLL.esp [Version 1.35] - Skip. Only use ArmamentariumLL4OOO.esp.

++ ArmamentariumLLMagic.esp [Version 1.35] - Skip. Only use ArmamentariumLLMagicOOO.esp.
