Any interest of replacing the older ooo lock bash with the new lock bash omega plugin?? Really there is still some polishing on the sounds of the newer lock bash but nothing beats just plunging your weapon into a chest which has a very hard lock when your lock picks are gone. Having to sheath your weapon before you lock pick and the purple stuff is quite annoying too. Too confusing....

I have to agree, Lock Bash Omega feels very natural compared to the old lock bash. Or is there any way to deactivate the OOO lock bash?

EDIT: Gah, sorry, guess we're in the wrong thread for this.

Hi there, since I'm using the Oblivion Stutter Remover I experienced some CTD's lately because of the "Drop Torches" thingy from OOO1.34.

Is there any option to remove this feature, like a console command?

It's odd, I use both and I don't crash. Maybe one of your setting for Oblivion Stutter Remover is too hard?

I added Deadly Reflex to my mod list last night and now I get alot of CTD's. When I installed FCOM I remember reading that Deadly Reflex should be loaded after Bash Patch but I can't figure out how to rearrange my mods in wrye bash. I moved things around in OBMM but they didn't chage in wrye bash. Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Hold down CTRL and use the arrows to change a mods load order in Bash.

I would like to say that that 5 characters in after a few hundred hours I finally found ONE of those syths/sickles like in the fcom trailer! Damn, talk about rare:(.

I changed nothing in the OSRStutterRemover.ini except heap mode 1.

And is there really no method to disable this script? :P

Heapmodes are the #1 reason for OBSR-related crashes. (And that's not badmouthing a good mod. Skyranger is all about warning everybody about stability risks when enabling the custom heaps.) You've got to find the heapmode that works well for your system and setup. Personally, heapmode 1 crashes me to desktop. I can't use it. Try heap 3 or 5. If you're on Windows 7 or Vista 64, try heapmode 2. See if one of those settings helps your crashes.

If those settings don't fix your problem, I'm not sure what to do about the torches.

If FCOM isn't working because OBSR is causing bugs, the fault is with OBSR, and instead of trying to turn off the broken bits of FCOM, you should be fixing OBSR. You'll never find peace if you don't because it's likely that isn't the only thing it's breaking.

Find the settings that work for you. If there aren't any, then you probably shouldn't use OBSR. Either way, you should mention this in the OBSR thread if you haven't already.

I believe there was a Wrye Bash "bug" (not sure if it was a bug or simply an alternate way of doing things) that caused instability in Heap Mode 1 of ObSR. The thread for ObSR had a fix suggested that seems to be working well...I don't know if Wrye Bash has been updated since then to include the fix.

I'd look into that first.

Also, last I looked, OOO had a NoDLT esp file that removed the drop lit torches function. It shouldn't have any problems with FCOM.

Dev_Akm, has been spending alot of time working on OOO/MMMforOOO/FCOM. He has not been around so that he can spend time getting it ready. instead of hanging around forum and answering question. So this is why..

Ok i've made some requests recently which nobody really seemed interested into doing. And my scripting skill isn't all that. But people seemed to agree, so i've completed 2 mods:

OOO no lock bash - I've cleaned the scripts pretty well. You no longer need to sheathe your sword to open a chest and purple crap anymore. Just go for lock bash omega and no 2 lockbash plugins conflicting with eachother anymore! StarX Vampire Deaths improved - Every vampire (as long as they have the vampire bit enabled) will now have the deathscene wether from mods or vanilla doesn't matter. A worker script attaches it realtime. so no more need to add vampires, it does that job all by itself.

SOLUTION:

1. Download BOSS (Better Oblivion Sorting Software) from tesnexus. Download the update too !!!
2. Extract the package, but NOT into the Oblivion/Data Folder. Overwrite this with the update!
3. Open the file Masterlist and search for the esp-file you think you have loadorder issues with.
4. Scroll up and/or down until you find the first mod below or above that esp you also have installed.
5. In your loadorder put the esp-file in question above (if in the masterlist you scrolled down) or below (if you scrolled up) that mod.
6. You now have placed the respective esp-file as is commonly recommended by the community

7. WHY NOT TO EXTRACT THE BOSS PACKAGE INTO YOUR DATA FOLDER
1. Wryebash will automatically change your bashedtags of all your esp-files to those recommended in the masterlist, if the masterlist
is within your data-folder. I recommend having it there, however you might have your own preferences.

8. WHY NONESELESS EXTRACTING THE BOSS PACKAGE INTO YOUR DATA FOLDER

1. The boss.bat application, if clicked, will automatically adjust your loadorder to the latest commonly accepted correct loadorder.
If you want that, do it. If you don't, don't. I recommend to do it. YOU CAN SAVE YOUR LOADORDER IN WRYEBASH. NAME THIS LOAD
ORDER BY DATE. TO CAN LATER REVERT TO THIS LOADORDER. ALSO 7zip YOUR BASHEDPATCH WITH "PACKAGE" HAVING THE SAME
NAME DATE (SO YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REBUILD IT, BUT HAVE IT HANDY)

9. TIP: You can edit the masterlist to your liking, like adding esp-entries you found a functioning loadorder for yourself and that are not yet
covered in the masterlist (e.g. very new mods). You make your esp-entries distinguishable from the original masterlists esp-entries
you can name the file ending "ESP" "eSp" or "EsP". Those entries will still work. DO NOT UPLOAD YOUR EDITED MASTERLIST ANYWHERE
OR YOU WILL RUIN THE WHOLE IDEA BEHIND THIS: A relieable SINGLE-SOURCE loadorder device.

Hey, what's people's takes on the Unofficial Mods Patches and FCOM? I've used the UOP and USIP, but how necessary are the others? And with FCOM-Knights.esp, is it a good idea/a potential problem/not necessary to use the Knights UOMP esp?

Also, I notice that there are Fran/MOBS versions of the UOMPs. Is it necessary to use those versions with FCOM? (The Fran versions seem not to be as up-to-date as the normal versions.)

Hi, I have just installed FCOM with A LOT of other mods, and everything seems to be working fine and playing well but then everything just CTD's. randomly. I don't mind oblivion crashing every now and again but this is basically every few minutes. And it doesn't happen while loading or anything, it just crashes whenever it feels it wants to. here's my load order:

I'm sorry it's so long...also another oddity, streamline hasn't initialised. I don't know why. Maybe too manyt hings were trying to initialise at the start of the game? I didn't really know where to post this, so I hope this is the right place, since this does have FCOM in it :) thanks!

Lets start with this first..

Choose Only one Race Overhaul Mod

either Cobl Races (RBP Lite) or

BgBalancingEVCore aka RaceBalancingProject

do not use them both at same time..

rebuild your bashed patched and see if that help any..

You are not using correct ArmamentariumComplete Plugins for FCOM either..

Do not use ArmamentariumLL.esp or LLMagic.esp

Use ArmamentariumLLOOO.esp and if you look in arma thread you will find LLMagicOOO.esp has well..see my sig..

Also FCOM should be tested by itself, then slowly add mods back in, not the other way around, install FCOM to an already huge mod list..

I hate to say it, but switching on that number of mods simultaneously is just asking for problems.
Try Corepc's suggestions and see if that solves anything.
I'll just back up what he said about an FCOM installation - built your mod list from it's foundation and add mods slowly, testing as you go.
Really, troubleshooting a mod list like yours - you'd possibly be faster with a complete re-installation.

From what i learned during these days, lots of AI intensive mods+graphic enhancer mods=you're are going to crash pretty often.

I mean, i've a GTX285 and 4GB of RAM and i HAD to remove Qarl's Texture because i was crashing every 5mins in the wilderness for no apparent reason at all (my framerate was pretty solid).

Question from ignorance: What does the ** denote in the load order list? I recognize ++ as meaning merged into bashed patch and therefore only "virtually active" in load order. But I don't remember ever seeing ** in my own lists?

If I remember correctly, those indicate mods where some portion of the mod has been imported into the bashed patch, but not the entire mod. Like if you only use NPC faces from an NPC overhaul but don't want any of the stats from your other mods overwritten.
