A personal choice. If you've not added any difficulty enhancing mods it's possibly the best place to start.
Normally I slide the difficulty up a couple of notches as I level so I don't outgrow the challenges of the mod. Not to above 85% though. That's just suicide. :ahhh:

Im level 24 and need companions to even consider going into most aelyid ruins. raising the slider 10% up every ten levels may work for me. is their a quick way to know if francescos mod is working as it should? i was looking at a lot of his weapon pics and i dont recognize alot of of them or i havent seen them in my game. although i saw the first armor on the top left on this pic http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/fms/Image.php?id=30834. if i saw that i assume its working then?

You've probably not come across them yet. Not sure if they're in leveled lists or hand-placed. In some cases, items only show up once or twice in the entire game

By adding the mod at level 24 you'll possibly have missed a lot of lower level items that would appear in the leveled lists as your character grew.
If you've made the patch correctly all should work fine. It is vital though to update your NPC's with Wrye Bash and wait out whatever your respawn period in isolation away from all NPC's and critters.

i installed fcom before i began playing this character. i was just curious to see when they would appear. i probably ran across them already and am just paranoid. my ini has the .bsa for fransesco so im probably good and the game runs flawlessly. ive come across so many items its probably an invalid question, probably just paranoid. especially since you say they dont show up that often and everything else works.... ok thanks guys

Asking here because I couldn't find a recent OOO thread.

I just got my FCOM setup working pretty much perfectly, but OOO is missing a few meshes/textures. (I know it's OOO because I used RefScope to ID the items)

I installed the 1.33 complete version, then patched it to the latest one, but whenever I equip some items they are invisible. (They appear on the ground as normal if dropped, but are totally invisible on my character.) What am I missing?

i am using weather - all natural mod.

after disabling all mods, i found that somewhere in the FCOM setup, the interior lighting portion of the all natural mod stopped working because the interior climate no longer rendered in interior cells. the all natural weather mod works fine until i begin the fcom install with ooo 1.33 complete, then the interior cells go black with no surrounding weather

Just looked at that and the only thing that could apply is this line:
The 1.33 Complete OMOD-ready archive may not have the latest ESM/ESP. To be sure you have the latest ESM/ESP, install the 1.33 Patch files after installing 1.33 Complete (only applies to OMOD-ready version).

I tried to fix it as the line says to, but that still didn't help.

but whenever I equip some items they are invisible. (They appear on the ground as normal if dropped, but are totally invisible on my character.) What am I missing?

I have the same problem with two weapons that formIDfinder identify from Artifacts: "Steel War Staff" (08079CC2) and "Steel Spear" (08079CC1).
I found the first equipped on an NPC in a dungeon and it was invisible. I could pick the staff but it is not showing on my character but it is ok when dropped on the ground.
When equipped by the character it become invisible but you can see it on the left side of the body.
I have tried with another weapon by Artifacts, "Steel Axe" (08079CC0) and everything looks fine.
I have uploaded a few pics here: http://img41.imageshack.us/gal.php?g=oblivion201002280919357.jpg

Thanks for the report. Checking the Artifacts.bsa there are indeed no textures for Steel War Staff and Steel Spear.

Which items do you have the issue with? OOO has no missing resources AFAIK, so it should be something wonky with the install I guess.

I have a feeling there are a lot of missing things, but since I just started a new game all I have noticed are the shackles on your hands in the jail cell, and a pair of pants called "Burgundy Linens (unisix)"

I can tell, but I've already reinstalled three different configurations of various versions of the same thing but it still won't show up.
I used the OMOD installer, so I don't see how I could have messed it up too badly.

Neither of those are from OOO, so you must have some other mod wrongly installed. Post your load order.

Edit: I know the Bashed Patch is supposed to load last. Fixed.

Hm, nothing pops up immediately. You said you checked with RefScope which I've never used. If you have access to an item with missing textures (the shackles perhaps), you could use http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16704 to see which mod that changes them.

RefScope is pretty much the same as FormID finder, it just operates using a spell instead of the alt key.

Yes, but they are certainly not from OOO which RefScope said according to you. Anyway, my guess would be missing resources from a body replacer. I know the Wrist Irons are changed with Exnem, for example, to fit the body. I don't even have Burgundy Linens (unisix) in my FCOM game AFAIK. Not using Fran's - and thus no Fran's add-ons, though.

I just re-checked, here is what Refscope says:
http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt145/Fearnoman777/WristIrons.jpg
http://i606.photobucket.com/albums/tt145/Fearnoman777/Pants.jpg

Also, found a new missing item, this time with one of the yellow exclamation points. "Iron Staff" from Fran's optional items add on.
At this point, it looks like I'm missing so many parts from every mod that I should just uninstall.

Wrist Irons said nothing about OOO as far as I can see. OOO changes the weight of ordinary Burgundy Linens, so that might be what RefScope picks up. Anyway, I'd double-check other installs. Or try searching for Burgundy Linens (unisix) with WinGrep.
