Is there a good guide available? I used http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/genmessage.php?board=924363&topic=48544847 guide to install my previous FCOM and I realized that although FCOM worked for me, there were some errors and frequent CTDs I ran into. Thats why I want to reinstall it

I use Windows 7 64-bit and sometimes, the files that were mentioned in the guide were updated or not exactly the same name as mentioned. During the FCOM installation, it would say something like Oblivion folder was not detected even though I installed it, it might have something to do with windows 7 and their folder layouts though. When I was installing OBSE, the versions were different and it had different named files, etc.

So is there a good new easy step-by-step FCOM guide available somewhere?

Yes sir and here it is. follow it to the Teeth. Don't assume anything and triple check to insure minimal CTD's throughout the game.

I'm quoting this for emphasis. Do not be in a rush. Take your time. Read everything and then read it again. I budget an entire day when I'm about to install FCOM. That may sound like a lot of time, but I end up with a CTD-free installation. Good luck!

I get a CTD everytime I load the game. What's going on?

You likely have a missing master. Look for files marked with a red checkbox in Wrye Bash.
