FCOM Questions..

As long as you have the required files mentioned in the previous post, we can delete the others. We just want the BSA file, two ESM files and 4 esp files. All other we can delete. You did install in a different directory than your Oblivion install, right?

I also realised I didnt get the new items add-on, yes it is in a different folder (C:\frans) and also what to do with the new file you told be to download?

"?'New Items Add-On' [requires the FCOM add-on FCOM_FrancescosItemsAddOn.esp]" I did not get the file from this.

No, don't delete the folder. Once we have the files we need, we want to copy them somewhere safe where we can make our archive file. The USIP download has the one file and we want to put it in the same directory as the Frans files. Once you copy these to another directory then go to contol panel. programs, and uninstall the frans installs (if you want). This is to keep your windows clean if you want. SO let me know if you have the files that are required for Frans.

The new items addon is like 400MB, long time to download. So you did not download that BIG frans file yet? If not, we have a better option. Let me know.

I have the two files from the two links from your long post on the first page.

I am only missing "?'New Items Add-On' [requires the FCOM add-on FCOM_FrancescosItemsAddOn.esp]"

http://www.megaupload.com/?d=ZAENT2I2

This is 200+MB and is optimized. Download this file. I will write more in next post.

So now you should have ONLY these files in your Frans folder:

FraNewItems.bsa

Francesco's leveled Creatures-Items Mod.esm
Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm

Francesco's Optional Chance of More Enemies.esp
Francesco's Optional Chance of Stronger Bosses.esp
Francesco's Optional Chance of Stronger Enemies.esp
Francesco's Optional Chance of Leveled Guards.esp

Uofficial Shivering Isles patch.esp from the USIP_MOBS_1-4 download

Now, we want to rename FraNewItems.bsa to
Francesco's Optional Chance of Leveled Guards - FraNewItems.bsa. This way, you never have to modify the oblivion.ini file to load the bsa.

So you will wind up with these files only:

Francesco's Optional Chance of Leveled Guards - FraNewItems.bsa
Francesco's leveled Creatures-Items Mod.esm
Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm
Francesco's Optional Chance of More Enemies.esp
Francesco's Optional Chance of Stronger Bosses.esp
Francesco's Optional Chance of Stronger Enemies.esp
Francesco's Optional Chance of Leveled Guards.esp
Uofficial Shivering Isles patch.esp

Now you would want to archive these. If you have 7-zip, select these files, right click, choose add to archive from the 7zip menu. Call the Archive something like Frans FCOM Installation.7z

With me on this?

I still don't have
Francesco's Optional New Items Add-On.esm
You gave me a BSA link, I have all the files (including the renamed FraNewItems.bsa) just not that new items add-on.esm
I might of skipped it in the installer, should I re-run the installer with the same options as last time?

Yes, rerun the installer. Just make sure you check the items mentioned in the post.

Did you make the archive file (zip or 7z)? If so, when you look at the archive it should only show the files, not a folder then files. I made that mistake before. If ready, which mod do you want to tackle next?

Archiving right now, I say we go for the next in the list, I will download the next in list (from your old post) while I wait for archive.

Warcry will be cake. Remember, keep a copy of the original downloads in a safe location. We want to build these in another directoy. For warcry we need the Oblivion Warcry EV.esp file and the Oblivion Warcry EV.bsa file. Highlight the two files and crerate archive, call it Oblivion Warcry. That is all we need with that.

Not to jump the gun, but here are some thoughts on OOO. There are optimized meshes, there are some plugins for it also. I say to keep it simple right now, we make an OOO FCOM install that works. As long as you keep the originals you can always go back later and get fancy with it. The one I will suggest works.

While we wait, have you used mods before and how did you install them? Any particular mods you enjoyed?

OK, extract the downloaded archives (the ooo complete and the patch) to their own folders. Then, you want to take the following from the patch folder:

meshes
textures
Oscuro's oblivion overhaul.esm
Oscuro's oblivion overhaul.esp and copy them over the files in the OOO 133 complete folder.
See what we are doing here? Basically patching the installation.

When done, you want to delete the extra folders. Just leave sounds, meshes, and testures. The delete the files except the esm and esp files mentioned above.

So after the "patching" I delete all but the files above?

Yes, since we do not need the water fish.esp or the omod folder (we will use BAIN) or the OOO optional files.

Once done, create the archive and call it OOO_134b5.7zor something like that.

When done, we move to MMM. I assume Wacry is also done?
