Ah, TF2.

But what I was talking about Awesome, was that it seems like you can't exactly tell WHERE or WHO the players are in need unless you're close to them. Was just wondering.

Well say if your a medic and someone calls for health it will appear on your mission wheel, select it and it will take you right to them.

I fear there wont be any teamwork in this game, even though it is meant to be :<

Ex: It turns out to eventually be only one doing the objective(s), say some Engineer

The other ones are [censored] around

Like kill-grinders in Domination or Demolition.

The auto-chat is only given to those who need to know. also, unlike BC2, it will all be in your own language, not russian FLOUPOIN NUNYGAH! :swear:

One of my biggest fears in-game is going to have to be instant revives, so I'm curious to know whether or not using a revival syringe (or self-reviving) will "teleport" you from the ground back into the fight. I can't count the number of times I played as a medic in BF:BC2 and destroyed the entire enemy team a couple times in a row while hiding behind a newly-revived teammate. Every time he died, I'd just look down and instantly zap him back up, effectively creating an infinite meat shield.

So, to summarize: Will reviving be instantaneous, where your target automatically "teleports" up with a fresh dose of invulnerability and his gun already aiming? Or will there be a short animation, perhaps where he jabs the needle into himself before climbing up off the floor? It doesn't have to be too long, maybe 1 to 3 seconds I'm thinking.

Anyone have any thoughts? Ideas? Flames?

You can see the getting-up animation here.

Also, there is no insta-revive. you give your team mate a syringe and he chooses when to revive himself.

Well that's what I'm talking about, though. Once someone uses that syringe, they just jump right back up onto the field, and I think he even flickered for 2 seconds (invulnerability).
I think that push up animation could have been 1 or 2 seconds longer, because everyone already knows that it's hard kill an incapacitated person with bullets (unless you have a scoped rifle).
The way the system is now, all a medic will have to do is throw syringes to 2 or 3 of his buddies, and BAM! They're all up and firing a second later.

The idea is to wait until there's no people who could kill you until you get yourself up. There's no invunerability.

That's why you always gib players.

Also, Medics do not have infinite syringes, so they can't just toss them out forever and using a syringe takes about 3 seconds - it is not instant. This can be seen in gameplay videos.

I've watched most, if not all the gameplay videos, many times over. I know that there is a short animation while you're still on the ground, but that doesn't exactly help opposing players because it doesn't show that someone is getting ready to pop up and shoot you in the face with a shotgun as you struggle to repair a robot / plant a bomb / capture a command post / [insert special, time-consuming activity here].

And about the energy pip thing, I know that most skills are limited, but there will be skills to increase the amount of pips you have, yes? And the heavy medic will no doubt have at least 5 or 6 bars, judging from the number on a medium player. And that, my friend, is plenty to capture an objective.

Which is why I said - always gib players.

You can perform a melee attack - sort of like a finisher move, that will instantly kill downed players.

All I can say to that is this: We'll see whether or not that's a viable tactic in a firefight once the game is released.

Edit: Also, thanks for all the info guys, I appreciate it.

Or just finish them off by shooting them.

Will slide-tackling incapacitated players do the job? I hope so.
