[RELz], [WIP] Fearsome Magicka

I have a question on load order. Since I've installed the mod, and I've found it works great but on two occassions, all NPC's lose their dialogue. I've only installed FM and required files and... TGND body with Fantasy Mage Armor. I managed to clear it once and it was fine yesterday, today it's back to doing the same thing. The infamous "I have no message" screen, although I can mouse-click, force that screen to disappear and go to the merchants/rumors icons, but any and all dialogue is gone. Any suggestions?

congrats on the release Just one quesetion where to you buy the spells or are they earned some way or found thanks in advance

A shop in crucible (that's in Shivering Isles) sells them. I believe it's called Earil's Mysteries.

Hi there, I've got something to report, sometimes, when I hit something with a magic missile, the actor or creature then just stands there... Unable to do anything else!

Also, I don't want to saound too demanding, :P but could you please look into the FOV issue about teleport? As I said, changing defaultfov in the .ini messes with the menus and UI

Congrats on the release brucevayne! I'm really looking forward to putting this into my game. That trailer seriously blew my mind, I haven't been that excited from seeing a trailer in a looong time. You've done some incredible work here, thanks for sharing it with us.

Strange. Such issue could be done by a dirty mod that alters dialogues in inappropriate way. FM has no dialogue edits so far. Such problem also occurs whenever player travels between Cyrodill and Shivering isles without using the standard route(through the protal). Did you do anything like that(with a mod or a console command)?

Also, I don't want to saound too demanding, :P but could you please look into the FOV issue about teleport? As I said, changing defaultfov in the .ini messes with the menus and UI

Btw: In my opinion the mod should be positioned lower in your load order. Some people reported issues concerning spellcasting system(especially during Time Stop) when FM is loaded before Streamline.... wait, it was you who reported that actually ;) The fact was also confirmed by another mod user.

I know! I was the one having problems with TS and MM! Turns out that if I load it earlier I havo no other problem, if I load it just before Stremline I have the TS issue. BOSS loading seems to work well.
However The MM glitch is present even if I load your mod last (not 100% of times, like the aforementioned TS) that was the first solution I tried! The load order I posted has FearsomeMagicka loaded quite early but I've been moving it around, and reverting to earlier saves to playtest! If you need any specific info, ask away!

Thanks for the FOV fix :) I'll await patiently!

Strange. Such issue could be done by a dirty mod that alters dialogues in inappropriate way. FM has no dialogue edits so far. Such problem also occurs whenever player travels between Cyrodill and Shivering isles without using the standard route(through the protal). Did you do anything like that(with a mod or a console command)?

I could be wrong, but I'm just notifying you for you to check. I did check to see if I accidentally did this myself, and I had not.

Excellent job on this mod by the way. I really like it. But shame on you, for drew me out of modding and back to playing!

Actually I intentionally did that. Attaching the script will change nothing in that case.

Every spell can be resisted(most with magic resistance, some with fire or frost resistance). That knowledge can sometimes save your life(your PC's life that is ;) ).

They can't be absorbed unfortunately, but I think he's working on a fix for that one. However, this mod also brings up a good point: Fear mages and finish them quickly. I might really consider bringing an extra ring or 2 with resist magic or something on them solely for when I encounter mages.
I just wish that willful resistance mod didn't kill timestop or I'd use that. That mod + high willpower + some decent resist magic = :D

Any possibility of a fix on that one? - I think I already asked this once, but I don't remember where

I love the magick system in the Gothic series which is kinda like this one... with circles and stuff, I like this more than Midas Magick 'cause it's fully integrated (NPC use it!) so I'm going to try this one of course

I play Fcom, with Automatic difficulty Increaser :D I already started customizing my gear again because of this mod. With Supreme Magicka and multiple Enchantment, my Lev 40 mage has almost reached 99 alteration, then I'll create a 360 sec duration shield spell to provide all the armor I need, and I'll swap all my shield enchantments to resist magicka
(sorry... I had to say this, this most just added a layer of dept that I tought was lost upon reaching 100 destruction, oh Joy!).

I have only ran into one mage so far.. lucky me :celebration: but I nearly got my .... kicked and all from a mage whelp shaman. :toughninja: But I got my trusty glass bow/arrows and loosed volleys of glass simultaneously with spells. It's tough! :D

Glad to see you got your bugs sorted and a release! I signed up to beta but for some reason installing the StarCraft 2 beta completely destabilized Oblivion, and I cannot for the life of me figure out why. Once I get it back up to something playable, I look forward to adding your mod to the mix.

I've just uploaded a new version patch, changes:
- improved crime detection for using spells on NPC's;
- killstats will now increase correctly;
- added support for Atronach birthsigh;
- fixed the 'frozen actors issue' that occured sometimes(for some players) after an actor was hit with Magic Missle spell;

Btw. in a few days I'll add support for companions: you'll be able to 'teach' them new spells. This will require a scroll with a spell though. I'll add some customization options also.

Just put up the NPC time stop screenshot I had shown in beta-testing. Also I'll admit I'm one of the people that's not too fond of the circle system. Limiting usage is fine, it's just that by the time I even reach level 20 with a character it's been 300+ hours, I'm a little bored of them, and want to start a new one.

Congratulations, great mod, finally some diferent spells to the enemies (still haven't gone to SI), now all the monsters are a menace and can pack a surprise!! Plus my flame atronach summon knows magic missile!!

Only one complain: there is some spell/effect that chance darkens the screen and throw-me at 3rd camera mode. While active, this spell/effect doesn't allow me to chance back the camera, and sometimes it doesn't end. Yours was the last mod added, with all the requisites (none of them I had by the time).

What other magic mods (those adding new spells, or those overhauling the system somehow) do you personally recommend to use along with this one?

Hi Brucevayne and thanks for the update! I'll try to provide some screenshot later (if I manage to find some time to play, that is...) surely I had many jaw-dropping moments while using FM!

I would like to manage and get a time Stop one, but not one where I cast Time Stop (too easy) I had a large battle with undeads the other day and a lich cast time stop on me... Amazing!

Can I indulge your patience one more time and ask you if the teleport-FOV issue for 90? FOV user is solved? Or should I modify the script again? That would be no problem at all for me...
Also, Thanks for the m.missile freezing fix, I'll post again as soon as I have some time to test!
