A feature that really doesn't make much sense

So like in Skyrim NPCs will sometimes comment on the weapon you're carrying. But the issue is that even when you have a weapon equipped, unless your holding it makes the weapon disappear into your characters deadpool satchel.

Todd thought he was being slick skimping on the details

It does make sense if you think console. At least that's the claim the Bioware people made when the same issue surfaced with ME3. Can't remember the exact reasoning, but it had something to do with additional resources and not being able to include each and every animation.

It's a nuisance, but I have my hopes for the time after GECK release.

It's comparing apples to oranges, but in Grand Theft Auto V, if you pull up in a spectacular car, NPC's will actually pull out their phones and take selfies of themselves in front of your car, and if you drive up in a beater, they'll say something like "Yo' car a piece of s#!t !"

Well, considering how poorly done the visible 'holstered' weapons were in past games, it did have it's drawbacks.

I've had NPCs comment, "Nice hat" before... which confused me since I was using a mod that used the hat "slot" but was actually an invisible hairpin that gave +1 CHA. I think they may have even said that when I was wearing the Pompadour wig: "It's not a hat! This is my natural hair! How dare you!"
