I'm confused about this topic. Is this the OP's suggestions or just some ediors suggestions or is this just stating the obvious on what will be improved (the general things that we know the company always improve on with the TES series).

In my opinion, the latter-most.

Instead of some type of VATS, we need the cinematic kill cam from NV. That would be awesome and make the combat a lot more enjoyable and entertaining.

i dont want to have the impression that the action cuts all the time....

The list is from a blog I wrote on Game Informer Online. It's a list of my ideas/wishes for the Elder Scrolls V. One of the staff members at GI, Ben Hanson, posted a comment on my blog saying, in so many words, that we would likely see the majority of the ideas on my list implemented in Skyrim. I thought this was cool because GI knows a lot about the game... So I posted all this on here to give you guys a heads up as to what features we can expect to see in the game.

Man, I'm getting really hyped for the information. Nick Breckon just posted via Twitter, "Every time I see TES V, I come away not knowing how I'd start my preview article as a journalist. Always a good sign." Not really sure what to think of it, but it sounds epic.

1.) MORE ARTIFACTS. For those of you who picked up a copy of Tamrielic Lore while playing Oblivion, you’ll know what I’m talking about. I want to be able to get every item in that book and more. I want my character to be able to possess every artifact Tamriel has ever seen.

I don't remeber Tamrielic Lore, but I hope all the origanl Artifacts are in the game, from Arena onward. I can't remember if Daggerfall and Morrowind added new Artifacts or not. I miss the Ogamhainfinium. I hope it makes an apperiance. I can't remeber if Oblivion had it or not.
2.) MORE WEAPONS/ARMOR/CLOTHING ETC. Besides artifacts, I want to see a wider range of regular items in the game, like spears, cross bows, and stuff like that. I’d also like to see some new types of weapons and armor, like diamond armor, or maybe some of the old armors that were in Morrowind.

3.) IMPROVED CHARACTER CREATION. The characters, at least appearance wise, svcked in Oblivion. It took me like an hour to create a character that looked at least halfway decent, and even then the dude was still pretty ugly. I want to see more hairstyles, facial hairstyles, skin tones, scars, tattoos, etc. I also liked what Bethesda did with Fallout 3, in terms of how you could edit your characters appearance during the game by going to the barber and the facial surgeon guy. I expect a feature like that to be included in TES V.

4.) ITEM CUSTOMIZATION. Building off my last point, I want to see some form of item customization in which you can personalize weapons, armor, and clothing to really make them your own.

I can see this happening. I believe some kind of stuff you mentioned will happen. I do hope the spears and more weapons are added. I loved the throwing axes and daggers we had in Morrowind. Also I hope the cross bow comes back as well. That is the only "gun" I want in TES universe to see.
5.) IMPROVED COMBAT. I’m not sure about the specifics of how Bethesda should do this, and I really don’t care. I just want to see improved, streamlined combat and magic systems that feel more natural than they did in Oblivion. Maybe Bethesda could introduce something similar to Fallout 3’s V.A.T.S. system in TES V? I’d also like to see horse combat.

Please no V.A.T.S. Let there be improved combat but no V.A.T.S.
6.) MORE GUILDS. I’d like to become a pirate, or a town guard, or maybe even join the Morag Tong instead of the Dark Brotherhood. Just give me more options and more things to do and I’ll be happy.

7.) ANIMAL COMPANIONS. If I’m playing as a Nordic warrior, I’d love to have a ferocious wolf fighting by my side. You get the idea. It would be cool to have pets too.

8.) LARGER SCOPE. Let me go to more than one province. All of Tamriel would be ideal, but I know that’s not very realistic.

I want more guilds. Animal companions may or may not happen. Might feel like too much Falloutish so it will not happen because TES will be it's own game, not Fallout with magic. I don't see us Going to another Province. Maybe in an expansion but not in the vanillia game. Other wise if they have Skyrim and go to Black Marsh, me and others could complain, why is it called Skyrim and not Black Marsh then. Except for Arean which started it all, I believe TES games are set in one province at a time.
9.) WEREWOLVES AND DRAGONS. Bring back werewolves and add dragons.

I can see this happening.
10.) If I steal something from someone and DON'T get caught, I want to be able to sell the item to whoever I want. I mean how do they know its stolen if I didn't get caught. Only put that little red flag on a stolen object if it is a unique, one-of-a-kind item that other NPCs know shouldn't belong to me.

11.) If I kill a guard and no one is around, why is it that every other guard in the game somehow magically knows about it?. There should only be a bounty put out on you if you get caught doing something. This should go for all the other various crimes you're able to commit in the game as well.

I don't see this happening. I think it will be the same. Game world just too big. I guess it's too hard to program, so if you caught then everyone knows about it. Yeah I don't like it, and hate that everyone has the "Planiteer" or knows everything you do that is illegal. Would be nice if Bethesda can figure out how to do this properly.
12.) I want to be able to train more than five times a level. I'd like to see the training cap raised to 10 times a level.

13.) I'd like to be able to un-enchant and re-enchant items.

This is part of the stuff that isn't covered that you want. My guess, but I don't see this in the game at all. I think something different for training cap, but not like you asked. But who knows. Could be wrong. I like to see Morrowind style where you train, time passes by. I didn't like that you train in Oblivion but no time is passed by.
14.) I'd like to see more variation in the dungeons and caves. In Oblivion, if you've seen one cave/dungeon, you've essentially seen them all.

15.) I want more random quests put into the game that aren't related to guilds or the main quest line.

16.) I'd like to be able to arrange the furniture in my house.

I agree as well, this can be part of the stuff you have asked for.
17.) There should be more variation in terms of voice actors. Everyone basically sounded the same in Oblivion.

I think it will be the same. Takes alot of file size for this crap on the DVD. Sorry I don't care for voice acting so sorry I said crap. I said it's crap because of all the file size that voice acting takes up. So more varied voice acting would be more larger file sizes. I can't see how they can fix this.
18.) I'd like to have a full screen game map, or at least the option to have a full screen map.

19.) And lastly, please don't ruin the game by adding co-op or making it an mmo. The Elder Scrolls franchise needs to remain a single player game.

Not sure about the map size. I never thought of it, or seen it mentioned before. I would like a bigger size that is for sure, but I guess it all comes down to their new "engine" and what the 360 and PS3 is capable of handling. I don't care for multiplaying, but now that I have my 9 year old son, who started playing when he was 3 with Morrowind, would be nice to play with him in co-op mode at least. This way Daddy and son can play the game at the same time with each other. But I don't see it happening though. TES is single player experiance.

Thanks for sharing, glad you posted it. I am looking forward to this and I hope alot of it is in the game that you mentioned.

i dont want to have the impression that the action cuts all the time....

You could turn it off, or its frequency. I just think it would look awesome casting a slow-mo spell, or flipping out of a tree while shooting someone in the face with an enchanted arrow. Once its appeal wore off you could turn it off. I'm guessing they are not going to be focusing on a better third person experience, although I could be wrong. So in that regard, the cam would give you an excellent source of seeing your person you've put so much time into, in action.

Maybe the fact that that's where the game is going to take place? I mean interesting as in interesting in the present. As in, the most interesting events in Tamriel will be unfolding in Skyrim at the time of the game.

Otherwise it would be ordinary Nordic life punctuated with the occasional "did you hear about that civil war in Hammerfell that coincided amazingly with a dragon invasion? There's an apparent reincarnation of Tiber Septim trying to unify the Redguards against the threat, but there's lots of intrigue around how truthful his claims of divinity are."

"Yeah I've heard... so. Pretty boring here huh? Why would anyone set a game here? Wow. Really. Wow."

That's how I know that at the time of Skyrim Skyrim will be an interesting place.

Brilliant logic, immaculately constructed.

I really don't want a VATS like system in Skyrim I'd actually get pissed.
and like someone else said why would ALL artifacts be in one place at one time? the fact that they don't all stick with one person doesn't mean they will all just happen to show up in Skyrim and pick you to be their new daddy. It would be weird if we could get every artifact that ever existed. And I think getting Daedric artifacts should be much harder. azura's star in oblivion? give me a break "go kill 5 weak vamps in that little cave directly behind me and I'll give you my most prized artifact" the story about how the vamps you killed BECAME vamps sounded harder than what you had to do...

I definitely don't agree with what you said about something VATS should be introduced to Skyrim. That would be absolutely horrible.

I also don't like the idea of animal companions.

The rest, I agree with.

There are no true halflings in Tamriel, the offspring always takes on the race of either the mother or father (I forget which).

Perfect. I think it is the mother. And if it is, this may mean that if any male of the dragonborn line mates with any race, the offspring character can be any race.

Kinda solves the problem of only (dragonborn) imperials being the player character choice if you are indeed the hero instead of the go-fer.

But on topic, I do hope the include an interactive map which allows you to make notes or mark the icons (maybe just with a color change) as "as already explored and/or finished". It bugged me that I couldn't do this in Oblivion, especially with the gates.

Hah - I remember as Fallout was coming out, everyone was worried that it would be Oblivion with Guns. I suspect that Skyrim will be its own game, better than Oblivion (which I loved) and Fallout.

And I agree - No VATS please

I'm singing from the same sheet. good ideas except for the VATS. I can understand how it could seem appealing but fitting it in lore wise might be tricky. Animal companions? Hell yeah. How many folks do you think will roll there own D'Rizzt Do'Urden (Apologies if the spelling is incorrect) Dunmer characters with an animal companion. And being a bit of a hoarder especially in RPG's I believe quantity has it's own quality. So either more gear or just more of a variety.

The OP list is so horrible and generic that it pretty much says nothing about what will actually be in the game.

I hope the GI "most" comment doesn't apply to the idea of a VATs equivalent in TES.

Yes I know you don't mean just taking VATs from FO3 and putting it into Skyrim with no changes made, but still. Bleugh.

I second this.

However I do agree with the rest of your suggestions, and really hope they do get implemented.
