February Game Informer Thread XV

Post » Tue Jun 01, 2010 8:55 pm

Here's the thing. The Game informer Hub might be updated today. Assuming someone will get the magazine today there will probably be scans or something up on the internet, but don't look here for them. If one of us get it we're allowed to paraphrase what we find out.

Just so you all know, it's 8:48 am as I type it and I like in New York. The GI people haven't even got to work yet.

When you say the GameInformer Hub may be updated, what do you mean? I wasn't expecting them to put any info up at all until the magazine had been released publicly. I've only heard about GI since the Skyrim announcement, hence my lack of knowledge regarding how they work.

I searched Google for scans but found nothing. Hopefully I will do later. :)

Exactly. Just find some way to occupy yourselves for 4 or 5 hours.

Fortunately I'm not as excited and/or as impatient as some people on here. My fault for expecting info today. :D

err...I'd rather want to have a new, fresh-out-of-the-shop one...

As for shipping overseas, it's easy. I've done it a couple of times without problems. Just ask about it in your favourite postal officce, obviously making sure you've the full address of the destinatary. The most difficult thing (in my opinion) is how do I pay to my provider :)

Maybe you could do something on PayPal between you and the poster? There's always mailing a cheque, but they can get lost en route, so I wouldn't advise it.

[Edit] Ninja'd.

http://www.gameinformer.com/p/esv.aspx That is the hub page. It will be updated periodically throughout the month.

Well, It's only 9am in New York, and We're as east as it gets. So 9am is as late as it gets now. People at GI probably getting up now, and the post office isn't open yet I think.

Why isn't there a proper e-book type digital version?
Or is there and I just can't find it?

A few weeks ago i found a way to get the gameinformer in europe (or at least in germany). Theres a swiss online-magazine shop where you can buy american magazines. Of course the Game Informer to.
That's the site: http://www.us-zeitschriften.com/
The only problem is, that you have to make a subscription for the Game Informer. And for every single magazine there is a shipping fee, so it gets a bit expensive. For me it was worth it, cause it's the Elder Scrolls! But it were still 99 Dollers I had to pay for the 12-month subscrption.
I've subscribed on the 20th December. And thhey've said that i get the January issue in a few days. I think the same goes for the February as it was shipped yesterday.
Hope that may help somebody...

I'm not sure I could handle a screenshot really, I'm still preparing my mind so it can cope with the sheer awesomeness.

To be honest I'm a little scared that we're all expecting some amazing graphics and they end up being only slightly better then fallout 3...

I keep thinking we're going to see crysis 2 with TES but its hardly realistic...

I don't really care about the graphics, the New Vegas ones were perfectly good IMHO; it's the general art direction I'm interested in.

Ugh, I need something to occupy me, I'm bored, sat here waiting for anything Skyrim related.

The sooner I get back to Uni the better, something to occupy me, make the passage of time quicker...

The Skyrim hub is the only hub that I know of that doesn't have dates shown as to when they'll be announced. There could be one today, tomorrow, next week, no one knows. They don't really follow a pattern.

Do you happen to know how many updates last months tomb raider hub received throughout the month?
