February Game Informer Thread XV

Post » Tue Jun 01, 2010 7:52 pm

This is kinda random but it made me think of tes. Today at work I owed a customer $11.11 in change.

:goodjob:
it's probably a sign! Tomorrow you recieve your copy of Game Informer lol. If that's true, then I have myself a new career xD

Sorry for asking this, I'm sure it's stupid, but does anybody know if Gamestop sells Game Informer, and how much it is? Just for the one magazine :)

Yes. In fact, GameStop is affiliated with Game Informer, I think. A retail issue will be....5 bucks maybe?

I'll be calling the post office every day to see if the magazine has come... hopefully I get it pretty soon. But as I've said before, once information from it starts popping up here, if I don't have my magazine by then I'll be avoiding this section until I do, as I want the actual article to be a complete surprise. Is anyone else going to do the same?

I'm definitely going to do this. I hate spoilers. I'll be outta here until I get it myself.
Are you seriously freaking out about one single word? Relax man, it really doesn't matter.

If in the crazy time right before the reveal when I was putting the thread up. I could keep the name of the thread cohesive, I'm sure anyone else can. It really wasn't that hard. And as Mankar pointe out. It gives it that "official" look since this is pretty much the official thread for discussion on the cover. Also, cover -covers- the actual cover and the cover story. We are not supposed to talk about other aspects of the game informer issue that does not relate to Elder Scrolls here. We have a community sub forum for that.

Talos was Dragonborn you are going to be the forth DragonBorn. First was Alessia, then Reman , then Tiber Septim or Talos. You are then the forth Mankar Cameron also has a topic on this by the way look it up in forums. By the way was talking about Incarnate Talos not literally Talos and Pre Oblivion.

Yes, according someone on another forum who works for Gamestop, a single issue is 5 dollars plus tax.

Folks, I deleted a few snarky, rude posts.

People are excited about the upcoming cover story, sometimes the same questions get asked and answered repeatedly in a fast moving thread like this. Just be patient with your fellow members, instead of rude or sarcastic.

Although i'm glad that the story won't be about an akaviri invasion, I am kinda dissappointed that i don't get to see some golden snake-people.

lol @ being called Moderator

I've phoned up every gamestop in my area (Ontario) and they've all given me the same answer. "They usually just come in when they do..."

I was really thinking of taking a break from all of this waiting by the screen, in fact I did today -- I saw a movie with a bunch of friends but when i got back the whole puzzle was translated!

So i'm not sure if I should just stay away from this all and be blown away by a delayed magazine like I was back in 2004...or spoil the nostalgic anticipation..

Anyone know if Gamestop stores in MN will receive it earlier, or are they all supposed to put it on shelves at the same time?

The day the subscribers get it, of course. Though you're not going to see anything on here unless you're fast and manage to catch a link in one of the many inevitable scan posts before it's removed. The forums don't take too kindly to magazine scans. :obliviongate:

If you mean the story, not sure. I'm sure Game Informer will post some info on their hub the day it hits news stands.

Sadly, I doubt it. It takes 6 to 8 weeks for them to process your subscription and mail out your first magazine. The Skyrim issue has shipped out to subscribers today or it will tomorrow.
So, that means it's only been 3 weeks since you subscribed. You should be able to pick up the issue at your local gamestop around the 14th for about $5 though.

I believe they ship out to new subscribers within 4-6 weeks so i wouldn't expect this issue in the mail but probably next months though.

[censored]kkkkkk, this is the only time I will actually care to read the magazine. I won't read any other issues, or even get them as I'll be away at college.

Eh, my mom upgraded my basic card when she was holiday shopping for my bro.
So, I'm not bothered to much, I just want the magazine sooner rather than later.

I believe you could always change where the magazines ship, I'd change it to your college mail if I were you, then before summer switch it back ot home.

And to my knowledge that's when Gamestops and Subscribers will get it as well. Gameinformer is based in Minneapolis, MN and I live like 1-2 hours away and that's what my local gamestop said was the usually date the new magazines arrived. I hope I get mine in the mail sooner since I live closer but I never kept track of what day they arrived before so I wouldn't know.

... Wait, I think I got it!
Dragons are ninjas.

This solves everything.

Don't laugh. I saw a write up for one in D&D. Thankfully our DM was merciful.

DRAGONS DON't NEED TO TURN ETHEREAL! :cold:

But yeah, another week away, with a small possibility of someone getting it before then. Why is it that I was able to wait patiently for so long, but now these last few days are killing me?
