February Gameinformer

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 1:00 pm

The cover for each issue is usually revealed on the 5th-12th of each month. Sometimes it's a few days earlier or later depending on the developer's wishes. But it's safe to say we'll see the cover revealed in early January. The issue will then start being sent out around the time the cover is revealed.

If I were to subscribe to Game Informer in the following days, would I still get the February issue?

Like I told Suffca via PM, you might, but you need to subscribe like RIGHT NOW. I can tell you that, from past experience, Game Informer takes painfully long to process your subscription (30 days or more), and if you wait any longer chances are good you wont get the next issue on time. Hell, I'm not even sure you'll get the next issue on time if you subscribe right now, but it's your best shot. For example, I ordered my subscription on March 21st, the same month the April issue came out. I did get the May issue the following month, but that was not until much later in the month, around the 28th of April. So basically, no matter what, you will get the next issue, but it will be reeeeeeaaaaallllyyy late.

Or, covers, seeing as how GI has had a knack for multiple magazine covers nowadays.

@FalloutFTW, you could simply go to a Gamestop if you live in the US and subscribe on the magazine's release. They'll give you the magazine on the shelf--which will be the ES magazine--and then subscribe you to twelve months and give you an EB card.

If you don't live in the US, it might be good to subscribe now. The release is only around the corner.

Looks like I have to finally subscribe to Game Informer. Maybe I can do it when TESV issue is on shelves so I can just ask if i can have the one in front of me at gamestop.

Do you reckon the Aussie version would have the same cover as the US?

I must say I was shocked that Bethesda announced it at the VGAs. It isn't like them to announce BGS games at conferences. They reveal them there usually, but not announce.

They finally know they have hit the big time...

I don't know if this is everywhere or not, but my Best Buy just has a stack of single copies you can buy, so I would check that too instead of just spending money on a subscription for 1 magazine (unless you're interested in further ones).

Yes. I work at GameStop, that's exactly how that works.

It'll almost certainly be in the issue, cover story or not.

I'd rather pay $15 for 12 months of GI then pay $9 (I think) for one issue. Besides, I need to get that rewards card
