Fed up with the dam lag

Post » Thu Dec 08, 2011 11:14 am

right i just fired up Crysis 2 and started a team player match.

What a **** joke !!!

first of all the lag was pathetic, i am from the uk and the host on the opposite team was from the uk.
i watched the player cam of me getting killed and apperently from no where i was firing my feline like a noob?

This is wrong as i went around the corner without even firing of my weapon.

Then all of a sudden i am getting killed while hiding behind cover, granades are not going off after throwing them.

This is getting really annoying and tbh i just turned my xbox off and i was only on for 5 mins.

The lack of support from companies like crytek is really putting me off playing in general.

How many topics are you going to make about this? The only advice I can give you is make sure your NAT type is open or simply learn how to play and stop raging cos the lag aint that bad in every match if you hav a 1 bar then you can simply leave and join a different match I usually have 2-3 bars and it works great for me just find a match with a decent host.

NAT is open, you are blind if you cannot see that as it tells you at the menu's.

every game was the same, **** kills, lag..........

hosts were local in the uk, still lag and low pings.

oh and dont say its my isp, 38mb download, 8mb upload ping 20ms.

Are you playing wirelessly at all? That's about the only other thing I could think of. Sounds like you're on BT Infinity there -green with envy-.

No not wirless, wired, yes i am on infinity and the BT hub is only 100yds away.

So it's the crappy matchmaking and bad net code, AGAIN.

All this was supposed to be fixed and enhanced.

It looks like the game has reverted back to how it was.

I would say since this past sunday, games have been mostly awful. either laggy bs or the host leaves and no migration 4 mins into the match.

In general, i think the last patch (june 14) wiped out all those network performance hot fixes server side.

****, you may be onto something there. Quite possible if they weren't rolled up into the patch.

Well I think that says it all about this game really... someone with more upstream bandwidth than the average UK user has download bandwidth, on a state of the art fibre-optic connection with a ping I can't even get close to because Sky won't turn off interleaving on my **** line, can't play online.

I bet every other freakin game just flies for you, right?

Crytek? Are you reading this? Clearly you're not but -sigh- I give up. How the fsck the developers at Crytek can look themselves in the **** mirror every morning is beyond me.

^ ya and it seems they are no longer making those weekly tweaks to the network and asking us for feedback.

I don't know why it works so well for me I'm with talktalk and they svck so does my tiny little router but I use a wired connection since my xbox is like 10cm from my router. I don't know what to say except good luck to all you people having problems.

tbh when i first got infinity and before the lates patch the first few days were awsome, very quick, smooth lag free gameplay. even had full or nearly full ping evey game.

Then they released the patch and it feels like it has gone back to how it was. S H I T

I wonder if sia(can't remember) was right and in the patch they forgot to roll-up the network improvement hotfixes and thus we've reverted.

Wouldn't surprise me as these guys couldn't organise a p1ss-up in a brewery.
