Hi,
First things first: Thank you Bethesda for this patch. There are several nice additions. However there are some issues I still see and some which seem to occur since this patch.
Since this patch:
- I do use a NVidia 970. If I enable Weapon Debris (Highest setting) I encounter Crash To Desktop within the area of Croup manor (that's an odd one as most other work)
- Loading screen, even without any "Tip of the day" info seem to take a bit longer than before the patch. Granted, I use some increased textures which might take time to load, but the harddisk seems idle most of the time (and it did not seem to last as long in prior versions). I talk about 1 minute from indoor to outdoor, sometimes with "black" loading screen. It sometimes does take as long to load interiors (which would be less stress I assume). I am aware that first time loading might took longer.
- Thank you for the "ENTER" key (aka activation key bind). Put why keeping "R" hardwired (what key this ever be, I guess "reload")?
- Within German version, "$Unassigned$" is shown above Settlers - missing string? By the way: Dogmeat / Dog is always tooltipped "$Unassigned$". I did not try to assign him to any work (yet )
- I experience the "Croup manor" issue (did not before this patch) were settlers gather at the base of the cliff (at least one settler). Which is a bit of a nuisance, as this also affects guard and I have fenced all that area so they seem to teleport there. Workaround is using the bell (and wait some minutes until all gather).
- Locks are still hardwired to "A","D" (obviously a PC only topic).
- An odd one concerning texture replacer (therefore stricly nothing for standard support): if textures/gore is present (which corresponding textures), the game crashes while loading a save game. This is solved by deeting/moving this folder. This folder does only to contain the usual dds-files and this occurs since 1.3.
Some noted about the German version (since now I played in English). In general, voiceover is excellent. I just saw some ... let's say "issues":
- "agitated" (prefix for some energy weapons) is translated "aufgeregt" which would be "excited" which does not to be right. There is the German word "Agitiert" which is actual the same as the English without any confusion about the meaning?
- Tooltip seems to be wrong for perk "Lone Wanderer". It says "50% more carry weight". If I select this perk, it "just" adds the 50 lbs as usual. Is this new to 1.3 or just German translation?
- When changing Steam language for Fallout 4 from "English" to "German", Fallout4.ini entry "sLanguage" is still "en", which causes the game to simply crash upon start.
- When changing Steam language from English to German, Steam downloads the German "Fallout4 - Voices_de.ba2" - for some unknown reasons, this file is not "Fallout4 - Voices.ba2" (maybe the old is deleted but the new one is not renamed afterwards). This results in no voiceover ingame. Workaround: Rename "Fallout4 - Voices_de.ba2" into "Fallout4 - Voices.ba2". This issues seemed not to occur in very early versions (as this worked once).
Why do you use brackets in German but not in English? It is kind of cleaner in German with [property1] [property2] itemname?
