I've got a 150 or so hours and still have about a 1/3 of the map left to explore. This game is so dense, I can hardly believe it. I can't tell how much time I've spent just looking for entryways onto the elevated highways...they're like their own dimension up there. Bethesda listens to previous game's criticism and follow on games just keep getting better and better.

Anyway OP, I'm an old guy too, and you're not alone in feeling like a youngster when you hop into a Bethesda world. It's enchanting.

Best post I've seen in a while OP. Completely agree.

I am 30 and feel the same way.

oohhhh old codgers just like me :liplick: - I'm 44 and like most of you I'm addicted to this game as well!!!

Been busy beefing up my settlements defences as I'm a bit 'sick' of super mutants going in a frenzy any where near my lovely little slices of heaven in this wasteland hell!!

In regards to old games - I remember games like chucky egg, battlezone and berserker :liplick:

Good old memories

So you must have some memory of the 50's World of Tomorrow aesthetic Fallout tries to capture in pre-war. Was it really such an optimistic time?

Gaming keeps us young, mate. :)

I'm 47 and people keep on thinking I'm about 30. Hehe.

My first home computer was (back home in England) the Amstrad CPC 464. It loaded software via..... cassette tape. Look them up or ask your mum. ;)

Oh, do please be careful of spoilers, though. I had no idea about a chopper for instance.

Keep on gaming and don't fall into the stress trap.

Cheers.

I'm 43 and I agree. This is a different version of Lincoln Logs, Tinker Toys, Legos, mixed with GI Joes, etc. Used to build elaborate forts in the sandbox for my green plastic army men, then have them fight which of course destroyed the fort so I could start all over again. My first dog was a German Shep/Husky mix. Yeah... it's just a different sandbox lol
