I feel like Khajit got screwed over for racials

Don't get me wrong, I love Khajit, but their racials are utterly useless.


Thier unarmed bonus is the worst, when are you ever in the situation where you have no weapons and are forced to use your fists?
On top of that, there is no skill to increase to make them not worth using at all. 15 damage? Even with the best glove enchantments in the game, you would still be doing much better with any other weapon.

My suggestion: "Prices are 25% better." and "Take 60% less fall damage."

Reason: Pretty much every Khajit in the game is a trader, right? So surely they have trading in thier blood, and should be able to buy at better prices?

Now, on to thier activatible racial. Admitted this isan't as useless, but it is still awful compared to any of the other racials. There arn't really that many extremly dark places in the game, and when there are you can always use a torch,

My suggestion: "Run 30% faster and jump higher for 30 seconds."

Reason: Thier cats, arn't they? Cats are known for thier speed and agility, and this would be useful for escaping or quick travel.

These are just ideas, they may not be very good but they are certaintly better than thier current racials.

I like my racials. And whats the big deal about something being overpowered and something underpowered? This isnt a MMO or anything...
The"Big Deal" is that where as many other races get some combat effective passive and combat effective Active ability, One race lags behind the rest.


In other words, it means playing as the one race that lags behind the rest makes the game harder by default. Not much, but that's "The big deal."

Balance is not just for MMOs. Single player games need it just as much as MMOs do-the difference is that MMOs get more frequent opportunity to adjust them,

Yes, I do. But in the end you are still dealing very little damage compared to any other weapon.

I like their racials.

Sure, the unarmed bonus becomes useless after a while (Except for the frequent brawls, which Khajiit easily own everything in).

I like their Night Vision: while it may be true there aren't many areas you need light to navigate, being able to see in the dark is very useful for finding small details in dark corners. And, it doesn't give you away.

I wish they did get bonuses to jumping, like they did in the past games.

I think racials would be better if:

1. Claw attacks scale with level, but ignore the bonus from the heavy armour perk. This basically makes unarmed combat viable for kahjit in the later game.

2. Night vision has a "detect life" effect. This emulates the rest of the hunter's senses that cats should have. Also it would help if there were actually dark dungeons in the game.

Before I say anything, I want you to know I completely agree! Those would be very useful (especially the fall damage bonus)

I would like to say, however, that if they would change anything about the racial abilities as they are, can we not just make the nighteye something we activate and deactivate? Makes a little more sense to me, and would be considerably less annoying.

What critter looses it's night eyes after 60 seconds? Why is it a spell?

I'm loving the Night Vision... I've certainly gotten more mileage and functional use out of it than any of the other race's one-a-day deals, or even most race's passives.

Itt claw attacks compared to things like berserker rage is completely ridiculously silly.

Night vision HURTS MY EYES YET AGAIN. They got rid of the bluescreen and replaced it with a white-out saturation level + a tunnel vision effect. THIS IS SUPPOSED TO HELP ME SEE SOMEHOW? lulz

Something similar to wearwolf form, call it battle cat form. Double movement speed and half damage.

They should have got a once a day detect life to represent their heightened senses as an activated power. As a passive power, I agree with the OP, 50% fall damage reduction is a great idea.

Anyway, yeah I think the night vision is pretty good but a 10% run speed would be good as a Khajiit on a horse looks silly. Well mine does.

I'd rather a simple "jump higher" and "run faster", the bonus to prices makes no sense.

Khajiit definately got screwed. I mean they're not unplayable or anything like that but still...yeah. Though I wonder if their claw bonus works if you catch a case of lycanthropy.

Care to elaberate how it makes no sence? Every Khajit in the game is a trader, so they MUST have trading in thier instincts.

Not really. Not every khajiit is a trader in this game, they're not renowned for their trading in the series as a whole, there aren't even that many khajiit in this game to base such a claim off anyways.
